growing two autoxtreme by dutch passion, starting them indoors then planting them out. they're almost 3 weeks old and both are looking retarded and stunted. iv searched around the web but can't really find anything. iv never grown autos before. i also have a couple normal ones on the go and they look great! so not sure what the problem is. surely its not the seeds because i was under the impression that dutch passion was top quality. they're in soil under a 125w cfl pic below, any ideas??
Soil too hot? I'm not familiar with autos, but I've had seedlings look like that when I plop them straight into my homemade soil mix. They usually grow out of it as they mature...but 3 weeks is a long time. Also, how is the soil drainage? I don't see any perlite/pumice/etc..MJ needs soil that can breathe and doesn't stay waterlogged.
thanks for the reply, soil temp defiantly isn't the problem. i think you're right, it may be due to drainage, iv not needed to water them since i first planted the seedling plug in the pot. soil is far from waterlogged though and iv not seen any sings of recovery. yes i defiantly need to get hold of some perlite for the future. thankyou
im not 100% with autos. im new to them myself. however to me it looks and sounds like especially with your drainage problem that you have packed the soil down into the pot to tightly. this may be your problem.
