Should I Chop these 3 Main Shoots to Give Enough Height for the Rest of Flowering?

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by wallywally, May 9, 2015.

  1. I've got 4 x Skywalker OG in my grow tent, the tallest shoot is about 37 inches from ground up (plastic pot included in measurement), and the two others are about an inch below the tallest one.

Besides that, the canopy is 3-5 inches below those 3 main, tall shoots.

***My question is...should I cut those 3 main shoots so that the canopy becomes an even height all around?***

My concern is that the girls wont have enough room by the time they finish flowering...

When I take in the height of my air cooled 600w hps hood and add an extra foot away so the plants dont get light burn that leaves me with...

***a total of 22inches of potential grow height for the plants***

This is my first real indoor grow with multiple plants and a HID light.

I would appreciate any and all input..

    Thanks blades!!

  2. Start tieing them over to grow sideways.

  3. You haven't or have initiated flower already? If yes, then tie them down. If not, I'd super crop the couple tallest shoots.
