Hello mods, I've been attempting to remove pictures from my previous posts. I've recently been looking through the properties of some pictures prior to them being uploaded onto this forum and they have geotag or lat/long in their details. "Your secure key, used to verify your identity, did not match the one submitted. Please go back, reload the form, and try again." This is what is shown when i go to my settings > manage attachments > delete selected. I can only presume that these properties on photos are not automatically removed when being put onto this forum. Any details on my situation asap would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
You are going to your phone settings to manage the attachments? Once uploaded the pictures are hosted on the Grasscity server. You can see this if you go to a post with a pic attachment and checking the properties. If you are in on of your posts, you should be able to edit it up to 7 days after posting.
No i'm doing this routine on my computer, i should be able to delete photo's after 7 days of posting correct? Thanks for the communication and information. So just to confirm sorry, once the photo is uploaded to the grasscity server whether or not it had location details on the photo they cannot be seen? They are removed to put blankly? Only if there's the possibility of retrieving these details i'd rather get my attachments deleted, thats all, better safe than sorry. Thanks again ICGreen.
I don't believe they can be seen. You can right-click and view the properties. I only can see basic info. Test it on one of your posted attachments. For example your avatar - http://static.grscty.com/uploads/profile/photo-thumb-785800.jpg?_r=1417197627 Identified as a reference to the Database storage location, JPEG, Size (in pixels and kb), etc.
