Hello everyone , I'm new to the forums here. I'm stuck in a rock in a hard place and could use some help :). I'm 18 and I've struggled with extreme insomnia , anxiety, and depression and was recently told from a doctor had ADHD. I have been trying all sorts of prescription medications since i was 13 and all they have done is make me feel even worse than I did without them and I'm sick of being fed all these pills like a lab rat because the are destroying my life. Whenever I smoke cannabis I feel like I did when I was younger , all of my stress and anxiety go away and I can sleep which is something I could only dream to have all the time. My question is how should I go about getting a medical card considering I am only 18. And i am NOT just doing this to be a legal teenage stoner it truly helps me and I have never abused any drugs. I have 3 janitorial contracts and I make payments on my car and house. Thanks, also I am from Canada.

  2. Hey TSquared! I'm actually in the same boat as you right now. I was diagnosed with severe clinical depression, insomnia, and anxiety. I take medication for it but I take too many pills in a day and I'm starting to get sick of the side effects. I don't smoke daily, but on days that I am having trouble getting up and out, I smoke a joint or take a few hits out of my pipe, and it really puts the life back into me, I feel much more confident and worry free. I'm currently living in Arizona and working on getting a medical card or recommendation from a doctor. I certainly hope someone can help the both of us so we can get into the system and have access to quality cannabis to help treat these painful disorders. Feel free to talk to me anytime you'd like, I have so many interests and can get along with anyone! And if you happen to live in the Tempe area, maybe you could drop by and toke with a fellow patient. Have a wonderful day!

    Stay frosty.

  3. I believe discussion of how to obtain medical cards is against forum policy, but I'll tell you now the best/only way to get a medical card in Canada is to talk to your family doctor.

  4. Ok, thanks, didn't realize. And I was going to be speaking to my doctor sometime soon.

  5. Hey talyn152 , I would like to here how your experience goes with your doctor I know with mine they call it an "illicit drug" and it is so frustrating but I have high hopes that they will accept the usage of our medicine.
