So here's my problem. Started vaping about 6 months ago bought the Vapir NO2 and love it. Bought an Arizer Extreme Q for groups, loved it. That went over well so we wanted with a bit more quality so we proceeded to invest in a Volcano. Upon first use we weren't impressed. The Extreme Q put out amazing thick vapor, got us blasted, but the Volcano isn't doing the same thing. We are getting a thinner vapor, the bag is mostly clear. It's obvious that something is in there but it's nowhere near as dense or potent.

So we took to the forums and used what advice we had found such as weighing the suggested amount on a scale, using the pad, increasing temperature with each bag, and even stirring the bowl but the results were always the same. This unit has been on top for years now so I'm pretty sure that it's something that I'm doing wrong. Help?

  2. I think you are just accustomed to the efficiency compared to the volcano. I personally fill the bowl a quarter full (solid valve bowl). Bump it up just a little above 5. Which is around 180C/356F. I have also heard of some air hoses inside being kinked a little and thus restricting airflow. Just keep starting at a higher temp until you find your sweet spot. It isn't an efficient vape so if you want more vapor you have to load more.

  3. So that's it? It's just not as efficient as a unit a third of the cost? Bummer, I really wanted this thing to work well.

  4.
Efficiency (as in bud conservation, that is getting high on just a little weed)  has absolutely nothing to do with the cost of a vaporizer.   My MFLB, which cost less than 100 dollars is 3 times more efficient than a Volcano.

If you're looking for efficiency, don't get a 'Cano.
If you're looking for dense vapor at lower temperatures, don't get a 'Cano.
If you're looking for maximum taste, don't get a 'Cano.
But...........if you're looking for one of the best party vapes to be shared amongst a group of people, I think the Volcano is one of the best vaporizers to get.

  5. Well the Extreme Q gives great vapor but it's dense and when looking up on the forums I read that that isn't even really vapor and that if you're getting it that thick you're doing it wrong but it gets me better than the thin bags the Volcano produces. Truth to this?

  6. Just because vapor is dense does not automatically mean that it's not really vapor.    You can have very dense vapor without any smoke whatsoever.

Dense and thick vapor does NOT mean that you are doing it wrong, unless of course, you prefer vapor that has a higher air to vapor ratio.

The problem with bag vapes is that to get very dense vapor, you need to really fill up the bowl and crank up the temperatures.      There are other vapes where you can get very dense vapor with very little bud in the bowl and you can get that dense vapor at lower temperatures.

  7. Well that's good news. The Extreme Q puts out thick vapor with about .6 at 365 so that's really not bad for a bag. Thanks for all your insight!

  8. *Update* So after working with this unit and really experimenting with it, I feel as if I've finally gotten it dialed in. With that said, WOAH, this thing can really get you blasted.

  9. I can get dense bags at about 6...maybe it is the bud you are using? Is it grinded up very well?

  10. Herbalaire anyone?

  11. Should have bought a sublimator.  My 2 cents.

Best investment I have ever made.

  12. I'm very interested in trying the subliminator but not buying one.

  13. Ditto. Let's all get together and have a pow wow with dankness...

  14. Who actually makes the sublimator? This thread is the first I've heard of this particular unit. It honestly looks like some kind of Frankenstein vape that someone made in their basement.

  15. a Canadian by the name of enrico.

  16. oh its on... i definitely want to try the HA. why are none of my friends into vaping...-_-

  17. I'm in the same boat as you man. Absolutely none of my friends are vapers...silly combusters don't know what they're missing.

  18. it's funny because I brought the mighty over to a friends place and a few of his buddies were there. Immediately after one of them took a hit he said this tastes amazing.
I was thinking in my head yeah dude... that's what your missing everytime you set fire to your herb.

  19. i was searching for a post on vapes so i guess i'll just ask my question here. I have asthma and smoking weed the usual way is actually pretty painful in my throat and i cough alot. A few months ago i purchased the snoop dog gpen pro and it has worked pretty well. I would like a higher quality weed vape, with a sleeker design and longer battery life/conserves more weed. I only want to spend somewhere around $150-200 so i hope that can get me a nice one. Can anyone give me an expert opinion on one to purchase?
