Our universe could just be a science experiment gone awry. Our "God" could be some 14 year old science geek standing there thinking 'Oh shit, I better clean this up before daddy comes home!'
or we can be an award winning science experiment up on display in some universal museum. why else would earth be so far away from any identifiable life forms.
I've said this so many times. The experiment could also be functioning just as intended, or better than expected.
