Pipe Cleanliness

  1. So I recently bought a new pipe, and each time I've smoked out of it, I cleaned it and it looked brand new. Should I keep cleaning it after each time if I want to maintain the fresh-look-ness, or will it eventually have resin that's impossible to clean out?

  2. I clean mine out after pretty much every use.

In addition, every few days I run orange cleaner through it too. I think you can really keep a piece nice if you keep up on it.

  3. Depends on if you have cool pipe or a shitty pipe. Cool pipes normally change color when it has collected enough resin. Also with dirty pipes hits aren't as harsh and you won't hardly suck anything into your mouth.

I don't know how magical the pipe would have to be so that if you kept cleaning it would become dirty instead of clean.

  4. You can always get a pipe as clean as it was when it was brand new with some salt and iso. Doesn't matter how often you clean it.

  5. I never clean pipes, they're just a pain to do so.
Once clogged, I'll either gift it (lol) or trash it.
Majority of my pipes are free pipes you get for tipping at dispensaries.

Except my octopus chillum, I'll need to find a way to clean this one.

  6. I used to clean mine every week. I have a small spoon that was my daily driver but now only gets used a couple times a week. I just cleaned it after 6 months of use and it came out perfect. I only used salt and iso and let it soak for a couple days.

  7. I usually clean mine after a few weeks. It's not too difficult, you just have to tape up the bowl and pour some ISO alcohol and table salt down the pipe. Fill it up about 3/4 of the way up. Tape up the other side nice and tight and start shaking it around for a few minutes. Once you feel like you've got it all out just peel off the tape and run warm water into the pipe to get any remaining resin out. Now, you've got yourself a fresh pipe [IMG]

  8. So any pipe that isn't fumed is a shitty pipe?

  9. I usually clean mine every other week with some glass cleaner, I get it to pretty much new with no effort. Pipe cleaners are also good if I'm in a pinch and just need to unclog it a bit.

  10. ?? Please try to start an argument somewhere else. No where did I say that or even come close.

  11. I clean with iso and salt end of each day.

  12. I clean all my stuff with iso and salt. Works wonders on all my pipes

  13. It's a lot of work to clean 4 bongs, 10 pipes, and a bubbler. I usually just clean them randomly. Lately I've just been lazy. Just reading everyone's post on how they often clean their pipes makes me feel like I should try to clean one lol.

  14. damn that's motivated, I'm way to lazy to clean a piece every time I smoke.  Maybe once a week.

  15. If its made of borosilicate you shouldn't have any problems cleaning it daily, unless your using something like one of those steel pipe cleaner things. I usually just hold mine under hot running water till the majority of resin peels away, then I let it sit in ISO for 30 mins, then back to another hot water bath. Wash, rinse, repeat till clean...Pun intended.

  16. I clean my bubbler after every use but that's only to cut down on smell. I've gone two weeks without giving my bong a good cleaning and when I did there was still some resin in there that I couldn't get out, but you could only see it if you held it to a white background and even then it was pretty hard to see. I think salt and alcohol can make any glass look new if you're vigorous enough. If you're not satisfied you could always get specialized cleaners which would remove everything.

Basically what I'm saying is that you can make it look new again.
