healthy plants? white hairs or mold? strange looking plant?

  1. Hey. I'm new to growing DWC hydroponics. I was wondering if anyone could help me determine if there is anything wrong with my plants. Someone said I have mold growing on them. But I would like someone's opinion on the one plant that has some of leaf bitten off. It looks different to me from the other plants. If any could help me out, please do!! Thanks

  2. Its hard to see the white hairs unless you can zoom in on them!

  3. They look alright. I don't see any mold or powdery mildew. Some strains are kinda fuzzy.
The one with a bite out of it, you might want to keep an eye on. The rockwool plug might be staying a little too wet.
    All in all, looks good.

  5. Hey everyone! I was wondering if you could let me know if I'm doing something wrong. I have 2 plants using dwc hydro. It has been one month since I germinated them, and have had them in my setup for about 3 weeks. My tallest plant is between 3-4 inch's. I have one 400w mh light and one 150w led using both blue and red spectrums. These are just mid grade seeds I had. Here's a pic!!

  6. They look alright.
Hard to say if you're doing much wrong, as you tell us little of what you are doing.
No details of your system, air supply and stones, nutes and strength, res temperature, grow room environment... etc.

  7.
Pouty droopy wrinkly leaves -> oxygen starved roots. The roots are drowning.

As a reference, these are 3 weeks from germination, a little over 2 weeks in the flood table (the small ones are clones).

  8. Ok guys! Thanks for the help. This first grow has had its ups and downs but hopefully it will get better!

  9. Hey I was hoping someone could let me know if they think this plant is male or not? I noticed a sack looking bulge growing on one of the nodes, I just need a confirmation!

  10. Give it a few days. Hard to tell.

  11. Update on that one plant! Still may be to early but, I noticed the bulb growing off a stem and heard that that is a sign of a male. It this true?

  12. Kinda hard to see. It's possible. If it developes a cluster of them, then it's for sure a male.

  13. Ok thanks. When will I need to worry about a male pollinating a female?

  14. Also what should my ppm be in the late veg? Mine have slowly gone up since my water level has lowered a bit

  15. I don't breed em. I kill off males as soon as I know. So, I'm not the best to answer that. However, I'd say if they swell and start to open, it's pry too late, and some pollen has escaped.

I have no idea what your plants want. Every plant is different. If I had to give a ballpark figure, I'd say 600 and see how the plant reacts. And monitor the ppms to see where I should go with it.
If it's going up as the water level goes down, it's too high to begin with. Top off with pH'd water to bring it down.

Read this thread, by GoldGrower. It gives good info on determining what the plants want.

  16. Sweet! Preciate the help crankz! Here's a pic of the plants! Started doing LST last week. Hope it goes good!

  17. Someone told me that I should cut my fan leaves so more light can get to the lower growth. I've also heard that the leaves should only be clipped if they are damaged or diseased. What should I do?

  18. Hey everyone! I have one plant that seems to have some type of deficiency, and one other plant that is doing fine. Can someone let me know what they think is wrong with this plant?
