I just don't get why they were such an unpopular idea. They served a useful purpose. Now days they rarely put kick stands on bikes when they build them. Why is that? Sent from my iPod touch using Grasscity Forum
i have one on mine. i like it. i do ride a pink lady's bike with flowers on it though. yeah i roll like that !
Kickstands rock. I put one on all my bikes. This is what I was told by a bike mechanic years ago, so take it as that: Bike shops look for ways to cut costs so they got rid of kickstands on their bikes and kept the profits. Soon people started noticing and bike shops basically told people that kickstands were for kids bikes that you buy at Sears, not 'real bikes'. So, they dropped the $3 kickstand and kept the bike price the same. While some people thought they were cooler now that they had a 'real bike' without a kickstand, other people said they wanted a kickstand, so the bike shops started selling the $3 kickstand separately for $15. Pretty much a racket to save money and charge extra. This is one of the reasons why I hate bike shops and refuse to shop at them unless I absolutely have to.
I don't get what's annoying about it? It's convenient f anything Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
