This tutorial contains instructions on making your own perfect, ISO Shatter, Budder, or Honeycomb! This method will preserve terpenes and natural flavors. • Decarb plant matter • Freeze plant matter and ISO • Quickly wash plant matter with ISO on a metal strainer until clear • Strain the ISO mixture through coffee filter • Place filtered ISO on Pyrex dish •Point one fan at the dish and have a fan taking air on the other side ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------For Shatter------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------ • Once all alcohol evaporates, pour vary hot water into Pyrex dish. No fans • Pour water/oil through metal strainer • Collect all oil and place on oil slick • Spread out and press • Put flattened oil into freezer for an hour or so ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------For Budder----------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------ • Scrape oil into middle of dish • Place dish in warm water bath • Begin whipping oil • Keep whipping oil for about 45 minutes • Once it looks like budder, place in freezer *or( place in shatter vac to honeycomb )or* • Once cooled, place on parchment paper and press • Once pressed, un press, mix, and re press a few times •Press again for final time, do not un press. • Place back in freezer between parchment paper and between heavy weights • After an hour, product should be done
This is too general. In comparison to the other QWISO tutorials on here. No temps listed, No times listed for wash, etc etc. If your trying to write a tutorial you might want to add temps, and much further detailed instructions to illustrate your "Perfect iso". Also, if you have to freeze it, its not shatter.
The recipe is vary simple, and should not require temps. You freeze it just to dehydrate it further. Replacing that step with a shatter vac or dehydrator and it will work just the same FL Genetics coming soon!
Why are you pouring water over it to? Shouldnt be any water involved with the process. And knowledge of temps and wash times is super important for a quality end product. You're going to throw your already processed iso into a dehydrator? What? Post some flicks!
The water processes if and purges it a little. Dehydrating gets rid of all excess water. FL Genetics coming soon!
Water is going to boil off after the alcohol does, so why would you pour water over your oil?and water is not going to help it purge. lol. The goal is there should be no water or solvent in it either way. Dehydrate your bud before hand, then freeze along with the iso until you're ready to run your material. Water in your shit prior is going to cause chloro pickup which you dont want. Starting materials should be cold and dry. Bud tends to be 5-15% water content from my understanding of it (Correct me if im wrong), so that water content alone will actually shorten the length of time you have to wash without picking up chlorophyll, there for missing out on alot of trichs, even with anhydrous(Temporarily) 99.99% ipa you have maybe 25-30 seconds Maximum before chlorophyll pickup. So the more water you have the faster your going to get green, dark, nasty, qwiso. It's logic like this that gives qwiso a super bad name. butane is not a central nervous system antagonist like IPA. not to mention people are using cheap ass alcohol form walmart and shit 99% of the time. Butane is a mild asphyxiant, and even then it takes soo much to do anything. ever seen that lady that huffs 6+ cans of tane a day? why not use ethanol if you want to do alcohol extractions so bad? it a food grade solvent, much like rubbing alcohol ISN'T. and makes a better product anyway.

so just for the future... Try using other procedures to see which one you like better. With great care and preciseness you can find out you enjoy another method much more, which may give you superior results Youre not gonna do iso till you die... So mix it up a bit
