when you unplug the coil, on some controllers, the temp on the display will shoot up before reading EEEE or something along those lines. just means the thermocouple is disconnected from the circuit. do the 2.0s have a regular switch also or is it just the remote start? a friend of mine had one but I never really checked it out that deep.
