Changing my light schedule during flowering

  1. I am in the process of remodeling a new trailer, aka grow room. To give me time to do the switch over while lights are on, currently 8PM to 8AM, I'm wanting to adjust the lights by 15 minutes a day till they are coming on at 9:30PM and going off at 9:30AM.  This gives me a couple of hours, my help don't get up til 7 or later, to pull out the one trailer, move the new one into position, and get my plants back into the flower room before it's lights off.
Instead of adjusting by 15 minutes a day, would it be less stress to just leave them off tomorrow til 9:30 and do the switch in one night?

Opinions or previous experience much appreciated, thanks in advance!!!

  2. Just leave the lights off for an extra 12 hours. Then tomorrow start your new lighting schedule. There is no need to do it gradually when flowering the main thing is at least 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness.

I could go more in dept with it. However, I'm tired so to sum it up cannabis responds to darkness to trigger budding which is why they call it a long night/short day plant. So by adding 15 extra fifteen minutes of light a day will put stress on it. While I don't think that would be enough to trigger it to re veg it would be better to just do what I previously posted.
    Good luck

     Thanks for the input!
Now that you mention it I remember reading a post someone else made asking what to do because their power was off for the first few hours of lights on, and they were told to just keep em off for the rest of that cycle and the upcoming dark cycle, and to just continue with 12/12 the next day as usual. If I wasn't running perpetual it wouldn't be such a deal, I'd just wait for this crop to finish first.
I shouldn't have to leave them off for an extra 12 hours though. I should be able to just let today's night cycle go an extra hour, since I've already dialed it back by 15 minutes each of the last two days. Or wait til a couple of days before I move everything, this having to wait til 9:30 to check in on my girls is going to kill me. I do suppose though I'll have to go with an extra 12 hours of dark when I want to dial it back to 8-8, otherwise it would end up with a 13.5 light /10.5 dark day, and I could see a slight chance of that screwing them up.
