Is X-ray Technician a good career?

  1. Hey guys, I am an 18 year old about to graduate from highschool. I have been pretty indecisive about what I want to go to school for when I graduate. I have been thinking of being an X-ray Technician lately. I just want to make sure that it is a good choice. My main concern is demand. I am really worried about going to school and not being able to get a job after. Does anyone have any opinions about this career?

  2. It's definitely not a path for me, but follow your heart.

  3. I think you'll have a hard time finding a job at anything. Through determination, you can do whatever ya want.

I started college going as an x-Ray tech, discovered I hated hospitals, and ended up becoming a science teacher. Def follow your heart.

  4. I was going to become an Xray tech got half way through school and quit to become a truck driver. I now make way more money than I ever would have being a Xray tech.

  5.
Speed the fuck up you're holding up traffic! [IMG]

  6. Maybe start as an xray tech and keep goinf to school for radiologist.

  7. Seems like the hospital where i live is frequently needing both, i cant speak for the rest of the country though.

  8. No you are a shitty driver. I swear you normal driver types are idiots, you all seem to lack the ability to look more than 20 feet in front of you or to plan in advance.

Do you realize that a semi can't stop as quickly as your little ricer car because it's heavier? Or should I just speed and crash into the first person who decides to stop unexpectedly?

lol i was joking. i know u guys make the world go around by transporting everything we use and buy

Outstanding career choice. One of my buddies when we got out of the military decided to go be a Sonogram tech. Makes really good money.

One way to do this is the US Navy or Army. You can enlist for that and the school is 100% free. If not go to school for it.

I was in the US Navy and became a A&P Tech. In the civilian world that is a 2 year school 15,000 bucks depending where and 60-100k a year job from the get go.

Until I became self employed from 20 years of doing that I literally had a higher income then anyone I know to include bubbas who have Masters degrees, and doctors. I spent the last 4 years of doing that as a Site Manager for the US Army on a contract pulling in 6 figures.

All without any form of degree.
