  1. This is my first post and I just want to say whats up to everybody!!

I recently just made a grow cabinet and started my first grow. I germinated my beans no problem. Took 48 hours. I put them in rockwool and put them in my DWC system I made. They sprouted 2 days later and havent seemed to grow since. Its been 4 days since sprouting and im wondering am I do something wrong . I have added pics below. Here are the specs to my cabinet.

    -55"H x 24"W x 12" D
    -Mylar all around
    -300 watt mars hydro LED
    -DWC system (I made myself
         2 Two Gallon Buckets
Danner 4 watt dual air pump
         Black Tubing
    -S&P Inline 4'' Fan 100x
    -4" Phresh filter

I have a berry ryder and a bubble gum growing. Both autoflower female beans.

Temperature has been between 72-85. Depending on whether light is on or off.

    18/6 light cycle

No nutes yet. I have just been toping with water.

pH has been a solid 5.8 everyday.

Do I need to started feeding?

    Am I doing something wrong?

Or do I just need to be more patient?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

  2. They look good! They might jot be doing much on top, but underneth, those roots are exploring, she is doing more than you think, no nutes for three weeks, just learned that too!, or extremely weak if any at all.. assuming of course the Ryder is an auto correct, are all of them? The color looks good , and you want a little bit of waiver in your ph, set at one specific number isn't always best.. it's better to shoot for a range.. say, example, I won't add ph down until my water hits 6.0 ,6.1. Then I adjust back down to 5.6, 5.5, and let it float back up.

  3. @inthelooperton...Thanks for the advice. I will let the pH fluctuate. Yes they both are auto. Im a control freak and I guess I need to just let them be and be patient.

  4. Lookin good, growth seems slow if you check on your girls all the time but be patient and before you know it they'll be overgrowing your space.
Did you just water them from up top? Be sure to let the rockwool dry out some before watering, unfortunately too many people lose seedlings because of drowned roots in rockwool =[

  5. @inthelooperton....Nice journal you have there man and even better looking plants. How far along are you on your grow?

  6. @hddani....The rockwool hasnt really dried out on me yet. Just been adding water to the res and making sure the Pebbles stay wet underneath the rockwool. Ive read alot about people drowning them and I was quite aware of this when watering it. I think Im going to let them be for a couple of days and see what happens.

  7. Man, thanks 2COOL!this makes day 13 today from when I planted seed of course! It's too exciting right!

  8. @inthelooperton....Hell yes it is!! If I could do this for a living I would

  9. Awesome, I'd hate to see another grower lose good sprouts n $$ and then get discouraged. It sucks!

  10. Right, and you can call me looper! Doc shortened it and I'm rolling with it. Lol. Good luck sir.

  11. That it does, best advise to give is take advice given and brush them shoulders off.. The best growers out there started out like you and me.

  12. patience is the key. And every change isn't always a problem. Be light on the nutes. . Go light on the nutes... check my journal im a newbie too. When the roots touch the water the real show begins..

  13. Those don't look healthy or happy to me. It looks like they're drowning in sopping wet rockwool cubes.

Red on the stem is always a good indicator that the seedling is stressed.

It looks like root rot waiting to happen.

  14.
It took 2 days for germinated seeds to pop up? My germinated seeds generally pop up out of the medium within 12 hours.

So those seedlings in the picture are 6 days from germination?

I started out rooting seedlings and cuttings in rockwool cubes. This is the reason I stopped using rockwool cubes.

Just as a reference, the seedling in this picture is 10 days from germination.

  15. Wow! 10 days? That's amazing bro! You got skills pimp..mad skills..

  16.
So you just put the germinated seeds directly into the clay pebbles?

  17.
Yes, I have put germinated seeds straight from paper towel into clay pellets.

Now I let them root in 50/50 perlite/vermiculite for 3-4 days first, and then put them in clay pellets.

This is the same seedling 1 week earlier after 3 days in perlite/vermiculite.

  18. Hmmmmm, again impressive. So? In 7 days it went from what we see in the top pic of these 3, to the pic you posted prior?

  19. And str8, I mean absolutely no disrespect whatsoever, I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong here, lol.. I've read countless threads you are in and I've got nothing but respect for you sir!
