My down stem is a little loose...

  1. Hey guys, I have a Bio glass-on-glass bong. It seems that the hole where you insert the down stem isn't perfectly round. The down stem wiggles a little and there's a slight air leak. It's definitely the tube, I tried 3 different down stems. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

I was able to stop the air leak by wrapping a piece of paper around the down-stem.

I would put an o-ring on the downstem, so wherever the o-ring touches the bong, an airtight seal will be created. It's the same idea as what you did, but o-rings are made for making things airtight

I tried that. An o-ring is too thick, and prevents the down-stem from going all the way in and seating securely. And in order for the o-ring to work, I have to press on the down-stem while I'm hitting it.

Thanks for the tip, but the paper works perfectly.
