Anyone else notice the THC ceiling effects. After a certain amount there seem to be no returns. I'm guessing it has to do with the partial agonist effect similar to how the max dose of Bupeproprian your body can absorb is 32mg. Although, there is no research on this. It seems the ceiling dose for THC is around 300mg THC oral or equivalent. After that there is no amount of THC you can take for additional effect.
For me, the "ceiling" effect is like sleeping 23 hours a day and getting up to eat very quickly, use the bathroom, and pass back out. This can be done if you're willing to consume concentrates in edibles in the 2000+ mg range. It happened to me after I ate 5000 mg in 2 days.
thanks man i'm looking for this type of advice. What are the range of effects you've seen? I seem to plateu and can't seem to see the difference between 300mg and 600mg, but haven't gone much further.
It's probably a lot higher then 300mg of THC. Though I do agree there seems to be a point (different for everyone) where trying to intake more THC seems fruitless. I remember trying to see how high I can get. I knocked out for 13 hours after roughly ~1500mg. Like my body was too lazy to hit the vaporizer anymore and K.O.'d on the sofa.
There isn't really a set amount someone who has never consumed cannabis would be floored and sleep for hours from a 300mg dose but someone who smoke's all day everyday would get a nice kick but not be beyond stoned. I feel like after a point you have been so high so long you can't feel it when you smoke anymore because your already as high.
Once you smoke and fill up your cannabis receptors it takes a while for them to empty. So even tho you may not still feel high the receptors are still blocked. Thats why if you sleep or wait several hours you will get high again.
How did you go about measuring the levels of thc you dosed yourself with? Did you also take into account that not everyone's tolerance is the same as yours therefore wouldn't someone with a lower tolerance require less thc to acquire this effect?
I didn't measure. I am a medical marijuana patient in Colorado using lab measured doses. And the idea is: everyones tolerence is different but there is a definitive ceiling around the same dose for everyone. Individual tolerence will cause a wide-range of affects at this celing dose, but once reached, these affects plateu.
