    Hey guys,
I'm wrapping up my box and went to get some supplemental lighting for my full LED box. Got a couple 9.5w 2700k Cree LED bulbs and when I was at the store and I noticed they have a new design called 4Flow. It said omnidirectional on the package and was actually a little cheaper than the original. I still stuck with the original but was wondering if anyone had experience with these new 4Flow ones? I will happily replace my bulbs with 4Flow if they're better (I've got a small box 6' high x 3' x 1.5' containing both veg and flower chambers, 8x 9w Cree in veg, flower has a Area 51 RW-75 and supplemental 2700k Crees.)

After a quick search I think they are a little less efficient than the originals but I wasn't sure if the lighting direction would be better suited for our needs than the original design. Anyone have any info or suggestions?

They have a plastic dome instead of glass, so I wasn't sure if maybe the inside setup could be bent out into a straight panel or anything like that. Wanted to hear your guys thought before throwing $7 away on a bulb.

On the other hand, I'm working off info that is about a year old. Are those 9w and 9.5w Cree bulbs still a good option or has something better come along I can replace them with? They would have to be about the same size as I built a lighting fixture out of the 8x Cree 9w setup that can't be adjusted. I just want the best for my ladies.

I still plan on getting into the DIY LED game, but in the meantime would still love the best bulb for our uses. Are Crees still going strong in grow boxes?

    Thanks guys!

They are both Cree.. the 4Flow is a new build of Cree bulb, wasn't sure if it would be better than the originals.

  4. I actually got 1 of those 4 Flow cree bulbs as well as the regular ones. Both are different bulbs in the flowering box along with other different bulbs in there, so can't really tell you if I knew about the difference between using 1 or the other.

  5. One of the benefits of led SPOT lights is they are directional. All light aims directly at the plants. Those are the ones you want, not the omnis.

Mix 5000 + 3000/2700 2:1 during veg, reverse for flower

Yup, for sure. I am going to try and fit 2 of the spotlights in the top in addition to the Area 51 RW-75, but was concerned about side lighting for now, which I am using the 9.5w 2700k Cree bulbs for (2 on each side).. wasn't sure which would be best for that application (original or 4Flow).
    Thanks!
