My first grow, ever. Any support, help, or tips are very welcomed.

  1. First grow ever, thinking of making a journal. I don't know the strain of either plant, both seeds were just bagseed as this is my first grow and it's really just an experiment. Both seeds were germinated last weekend, and the one in the black pot was planted on Monday, four days ago, and the smaller one planted on Tuesday, three days ago. The lights are 5 13w cfls for at night, but during the day I move the pots outside for direct sunlight. When I water them I use a spray bottle, and only when the top layer of soil is dry. I don't remember what brand the soil is, but it's a pretty decent soil I'd say. Any helpful comments or tips, or anything at all would be appreciated!

  2. i don't really like clay pot. As it heavy and hard to determine water content in soil when I lift pot up.

I dont know how effective a spray bottle is for watering. It may be fine now as seedlings but im sure you dont want to be sitting there spraying for hours when they are bigger. You sure you dont remember the soil, u say its decent but how do u know? Also what region are you growing? make sure its not too hot, or too cold for the plant when moving the outdoors. Also watch out for plant pests while outdoors.

Move your CFLs closer to the plant, it seems to be stretching a bit. About 3-4 inches should do. Put the back of your hand up to the plant, if its too hot for your hand its to hot for your plant. What size pots are those?

  4. Well I only had gotten those Cfls yesterday, I had just installed that lamp. Before they were just in the window sill, which is why they were stretching I assume. I live in the southwestern region of the United States, and the temperature is pretty nice for them here, not too hot not too cold. The black pot is 1.0 qt. and the small clay one doesn't say.

Plants started to fall over from stretching, and while attempting to get them back up with those wooden kabob sticks and bread ties, the taller of the twos' stem snapped. I freaked out, and leaned it up against the kabob stick and now it's standing there, but I'm not sure if she will be okay? Anyone please help with some info asap.

  6. Repot them in bigger pots, bury them until the soil is roughly 1" below the cotyledons. The one you snapped, gently and loosely wrap tape around the cracked area for better support so it will heal. Leave just enough room so it can expand and you can remove it once healed. After you have transplanted, get your lights closer to the top, 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 inches above. If you can, get 23 watt or higher bulbs as well.

  7. I just got back home, I went to pick up some supplies and got this nutrients. ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1429389835.670553.jpg should it be okay for my plants? And after I take a shower I'm going to transplant both plants. ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1429389891.475416.jpg she seems to look okay, although I'm a bit nervous about transplanting since it snapped only a few hours ago.

  10. Thanks man. How long do you think it'll be until it starts to get some new leaves?

  11. Also, I'm going to go straight to 12-12 after about 3-4 weeks.

  12. You will probably see a new set start within a few days sprouting from the middle. Quick question man did you repot the other plant too because that looked like it was stretching a bit too? And the nutrients you bought looks good don't use too much and don't use it for another couple of weeks.

  13. Unfortunately, I won't be able to repot the other plant until next Friday, I can't get more soil until then because I'm out. I'm scared it won't make it until then but I can't really do much about it.

  14. Actually, I went to check on it and the poor plant was falling over! Like, no strength in the stem whatsoever, and I was like "awh shit don't you die on me!" And took her outside, took the same type of soil from another pot with nothing in it (I totally forgot I had it there, lol.) and transplanted, this picture was taken a minute ago but looks ALOT better. 17. Wow, that's insane! Those plants look amazing man, I'm not anywhere close to that though that would be something FAR down the road. These two plants are my first ever attempts at growing cannabis, and I'm really excited to see how they turn out. Honestly, I used to be intimidated by the idea of growing, but since I've started I have found it to be fun and honestly enjoyable. Any tips you may have to a completely new grower would be much appreciated, good luck on your grows man I hope the best for you!

  18. Awesome Snoop!! I had wondered how those came out.

Truthfully OP, not so sure on that bloom nute you bought. Probably pretty good for roses and petunias, but not so good for you cannabis, especially at this stage. The cotyledons will feed her for about 10 days +/-.
If thats all you have be very very light handed when feeding. Start at 1/4 teaspoon to 1 gallon water then WATCH them closely over the next 4 days.

  19.
Well the 100 gallon pool works, grow two big ass plants in it a few autos around the edge and get you a couple pounds. Just water with a garden hose, no worrying about PH and and that un-necessary bullshit. just fill it with potting soil and go. Might cost $40 for the potting soil (big 2 CF bags) and $16 for the pool.

Your chance of success is very high this way.
