The Truthers are assholes, 99% of their claims are stupid, unprovable and easily debunked. The politics forum is not the place to get into that, such discussions have been relegated by the GC administration to go in Pandora's Box. These news stories are about allegations, and it remains to be seen whether any Saudis exited the U.S. due to prior knowledge of 9/11. It's possible, but that's nowhere near the level of allegations and preposterous claims that the 9/11 Truthers were making about the United States involvement with these attacks on America.

I agree, the stories are about allegations, not proof. There's a big difference here. Regarding the Saudis exiting the US, it was well documented as it was happening that a plane was sent to several cities in the US to pick up and remove members of the Saudi royal family. This was during the no fly rule, and was mentioned on the news at the time a lot. No explanation as to why this happened was ever given. But I do believe a lot more happened than is officially acknowledged. What that is, I do not know.
Bin Laden was not acting for the Saudis, so even if some of them, who were in America at the time before 9/11, knew 'something' was coming, prior to 9/11, it's highly unlikely that they were in with him, aware of exactly what his plans were, or in any way supportive of terrorist attacks against the United States by bin laden, or anybody else.

I do believe much of the intelligence agency around the middle east were well aware of the 9/11 plot prior to the initial attacks. I can't speak on specifics events regarding the saudi member exactly, however in this video well respected and former CIA chief of operations in the UBL hunting agency under the clinton administration (UBL = Osame Bin Laden) had multiple attempts to eliminate UBL, however due to an arab prince and his entourage our politicians refuse to pull the trigger and also tipped off the prince regarding his visit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTtoHx-ia8A I'm not agreeing that 9/11 is a conspiracy, nor am I indicating that it isn't. I'm pointing out elements that people should consider prior to being so quick to call it a conspiracy and then disregard everything in the aftermath. It's possible some very influential people in SA had prior knowledge of the trade center attack. I think if info was passed to American sources it was treated as being improbable and sat in someone's inbox until they got around to checking it out and in normal bureaucratic fashion they never did. If people in USA's government were involved in a conspiracy it's far more likely to have been about covering someone's incompetence rather than involvement in the attack. Of course this is my opinion only. It's not like we didn't know something was coming, remember the news interview when OBL told us he was at war with us? We knew and dealt with it by sticking our head in the sand. Kind of like what we're doing now by not hardening our electrical grid and nuclear facilities.
