so I just got a Pronail brand enail with a New Vape domless ti nail and I have a few questions about my unit because I have some concerns. First off I would like to know what temperature should I set the unit at? Second is it a problem if after I take a dab with the unit not a lot of smoke is coming out even though it's a big dab and then it continues to smoke from the nail, but if I use my carbcap while it's smoking I can get hits from it still. My last question is does it matter if the coil cable piece that sticks out is on the top or bottom? because on YouTube I seen some videos where it's on top and some where it's on the bottom of the nail.

Currently I have it set anywhere between 661(Pronail's Instagram profile pic enail temp)-710 because I'm trying to play around with temp so I can get a temp number to my liking like the guy at the store and the owner of Pronail in person(happened to come by the store when I was there) said to do. Also, if there's any tips and or tricks you can give me for the enail I appreciate it because I'm a newbie when it comes to enail's, but not when it comes to smoking oil/wax in general. So I can use all the info I can get it's appreciated, thanks.

  2. Sounds like you need to learn how to properly use your carb cap. An Enail is supposed to allow you to take consistently low temp dabs. With out carb capping you would just be wasting oil. You want to drop the dab on the nail and carb cap that bitch right away to milk it up.

that's what I'm doing I put it on there and then I immediately cap it. Most of the time after I cap it immediately it's still smokey and about 2 to 4 times I'm able to recap it and still get small to big smoke each time. Also, my friend has the same exact unit on a $700 rig and his was also smoking not super crazy like mine but still a hefty amount, so me being a newbie to enails I thought hat was normal. Also, don't worry I did season the nail with some reclaim so I know it's nothing to do with that either.

Also, after having time to mess with the unit I found my preference temperature to be 830F because so far at that temperature it seems to hit just like if I were to use a butane torch and light up the nail manually. I don't know if that's not too high of a temperature and not good for me to do, but it seems at that temperature it hits like it should and everything else lower is not good and I feel like I'm wasting it doing so at a lower temperature.

  5. I have never heard of an Enail temp being so high. My guess is either your nails temp is off or you like hot dabs. I think you might be in the "I like hot dabs boat". My buddy is the same way. He hates low temp dabbing because you do waste some of the oil. Flavor difference is huge but to each his own.

  6. having an enail thats set that high almost defeats the point of having one. if its vaping super fast like a hot torched nail then you're killing the flavor of your errl. 830 sounds pretty damn high no matter what setup you have. show us a vid of it at 710, thats really the best way to gauge how its vaping. I prefer my enail to be low, I would normally have to do 2 or maybe 3 pulls to finish a regular size dab.

it could just be a shitty nail design? idk what your nail looks like. I've seen some designs that have the coil too far from the vaping surface so it loses heat too fast and you have no choice but to turn it up high.

  7. I keep mine at 777. I found that to be the lowest temp that resulted in very little leftover smoke. That said, I probably take smaller dabs than most people. Crumb size.

  8. I run a pelinail from disorderly conduction at 540 degrees...the dish stays around 375-400 degs and after the cap everything I'd want and you should want from a dab is vaporized...

  9. Is there a consensus if it is better to leave your enail on for a while and just turn off when you are leaving the room for a while, or to turn it off and on as you are using it? Just want to try to get the longest life out of the coil as possible and since I am new to enails wasn't sure what the best bet was

  10. I was thinking about this and I would assume leaving it on is much better for the resistor than turning it on and off a bunch of times. Correct me if I'm wrong please. I leave mine on.

  11. I like 680 seems to hit good burns up nice

  16. damn i thought people dabbed in the mid 300's w/ or w/o an enail... thought even 450-500 was considered hot...
i'm in the market for an enail and this thread was a bit concerning.
would you suggest i don't go with "pronail" or whichever nail you purchased? also may be off topic but enails get pretty cheap, is there a minimum amt one should spend on them?

    HIGH5 Orange LED Enail #1
I got one of these, so far its really reliable and simple, but super effective. the company is really helpful, they will definitely answer any questions you have, I was very concerned about off-gassing from seals and solder and had some very specific questions that they were happy (and actually able) to answer.
most of these things (even the us assembled ones) have the same ic board and display, and this company is an importer that quality checks the units and offers a decent warranty. they have a nice aluminum case with a good colorful anodized finish. they sell their own coils. I wouldn't get their chinese nail, I use mine with a nice highly educated nail I bought locally.
