How do I prevent wildlife from eating my plants?

  1. K so where I live there are lots of animals, especially deer and bears. How can I prevent them from eating my pot plants?

  2. Fencing.

  3. 2 or 3 of any spitz breed over 50 lbs. Spitz breeds of dogs are usually close to their wolf relatives.

They're usually independent and self reliant, while very territorial. They'll usually die for their home family and property without any training.

Don't use pits, they're not great for protecting without extensive (and expensive) training.

  4. I have a lot of deer where I live, no bears though. This year I'm planning on using a few different tactics to keep the deer away. These include scent deterents (mothballs, human urine (can also use predator urine,) putrescent eggs, etc.,) some physical barriers, and one or two motion activated solar animal repelling lights. Also planning on putting hardware cloth or other fencing around them while they're young so smaller critters don't munch on them.
