Coco propagation pot 3 days after sprouting The setup. Intake fans at the bottom right Exhaust at top right side of the box
Your plant is looking good and off to a nice start. Only problem I can see is the pot looks a little large I would have tried to build a pot that covers the base of the case but isn't too high. Maybe you can do that next time
Yeah thanks for the input, had little choice, it's a tight fit in the well, I'm going to transfer that to a bigger box with my LEDs when they arrive.
The new cabinet setup with Mars led 48x3 The new growth is really pale and yellow. I thought it was nute deficiency so I added 1/10 strength of cal, iron and Mg. Checked the run off 8.5 Im hoping I'm right that it needed macronutrients Flushed with RO water runoff ph down to 6.8, ran out of distilled water. Flush again tomorrow afternoon, with RO water with ph down maybe 5.5 I guess the yellowing was due to high PH? Fed 1/10 strength of maxigro.
Back to greenish color, nutes did the trick Day 15. Really slow growth, started feeding NUtes at 1/8 strength maxigro
Insects! Counted about 4 kinds, they infested the coco pot I didn't water for about 3days for the dry cycle, but it attracted those insects. The cabinet was a few meters away from my lawn. Plants okay. Just flushed then they all came out then used sevin powder on the edges of my pot. Placed the pot in a tray then put insecticide in the tray just low enough that it won't wick upwards and high enough that the crawlers can't pass. Hopefully the insects didn't get to eat the roots
Observations 1. Plastic pots don't aerate ko coco very well 2. It takes up to 5 days for my dry cycle 3. Plants needs to feed as soon as it looks light 4. Long dry cycle means less feeding means less nutrients which means inhibited growth 5. Long dry cycle with moist pot attracts pests Lessons learned A. use a root pruning pot B. Feed early C. Establish root mass asap. D. Feed regularly E. Insect prevention system
Day 21 Good color, feeding at half strength My myco order just arrived Just inoculated, Small root base no bigger than a solo cup. I hope the myco will help
Sorry didn't have a chance to take photos, no flying bugs all of them in the medium. I just flushed the pot with tap water then sevin powder on the rims of the pot. Start of week4 day22 Slight nute deficiency I think, no more tap water, started with r/o water ph6.2 at half strength veg nutes
LST? The colored trunk is half the width of the upper part . I'm afraid to lst the stem might be too weak. I placed a small fan in front of the plant for a slight breeze
I've done LST on smaller plants, just be careful not to snap her, just bend slowly and pull down tighter over the course of a day or two. I put elastic bands around my pots and tie string to the stem and slightly pull down every day or to but there are millions of ways to do it
Nice, a Royal Dwarf! I also growed the RD in my previous grow (in a pc case). Its a really nice smoke with a sativa taste. Good luck!
Yup. Foliar feeding at 1/2 strength every 12 hours The lower fan leaves are touching the medium, is that okay?
