Medical usage - dabs

Hi everyone, I am a medical user, entirely legal and just renewed my prescription, however I had a question that I would like to ask in this forum as I've had some trouble finding a solid answer anywhere.  If you have some advise to offer on dabbing, please feel free to share.  I tend to side on caution, so I will somehow need to find an answer to this before venturing further.

Just a little info about my use:  I've been using cannabis for medical purposes for a little over a year now, and it has been working, although sometimes it's hit and miss with the strains.  In any case, I've used it as edibles, smoking, vaporizing, and recently I've found out about dabbing.

    So here are my questions:

    - I have an indica tincture (alcohol extraction) that is meant to be used as a dropper on the tongue.  Would it work if I dabbed the tincture?  What should I expect?  Are these tinctures typically alcohol free, in the sense that the alcohol was used just to extract the medicine, or should I be worried about getting alcohol on the dab?
    - I have Phoenix Tears as well, and I was curious about the same thing for this as the above question, mainly can I dab this, and is this effective, etc?
    - Can I mix bud and shatter/budder (very tiny amount) in a regular pipe/vaporizer/bong ?

I will likely be getting some wax/shatter from a compassion club, but I would like to try this first if it's done.

  2. As far as I know you should not dab tincture, some compounds are safe in your stomach but not in your lungs. You can put wax and shatter and bowls in a thin layer and smoke, adds extra potency and flavor to any erb.

  3. Thank you, that's what I was worried about.  Ok, good thing then I haven't tried doing this.  Would you say the same for Phoenix Tears?

  4. Phoenix Tears is good for dabbing (and eating).

  5. If I can ask, how is it compared to wax/budded/shatter ? For the cost is it better to just buy bho extracts, and what amount would one need to use in a dab compared to wax?

  6. Sorry for bringing this up again, but I'd would really appreciate any feedback on the previous questions before trying this.  I'll post my "findings" as well after I try.  Thanks guys.

  7. Didn't notice this thread until now. I don't advise you to dab tincture or RSO. You can technically dab both if the tincture was made of pure vegetable glycerin, but I wouldn't do it. The RSO is practically the same thing as dabbing BHO. Yes you can dab it, but it is missing terpenes and usually has extra plant compounds and chlorophyll that makes it not taste as good. It is designed as an oral use product. You want to only dab raw extracts, the decarb'ed RSO and tincture are for eating. I bought an enail and love taking dabs of clean oil at low temps (625 - 660 F lately). You get much better effect and taste IMO. If you don't have an enail just smoke wait until the nail is really cool, use a carb cap, and inhale slow.

  8. Great, that answers my questions. Thank you kindly, I will report back on my first time experience in terms of medical value, taste, etc for BHO. Since it is safe to do RSO dabs, I will try a bit just as another point of comparison. Many thanks guys.

  9. He said RSO made with pure glycerin is safe, others could be made with poorly purged alcohols.

  10. I dab strictly high CBD oils. When I'm dabbing on right now is canna tonic and it's 22% THC, 44% CBD. Amazing painkilling properties as well as anti-anxiety. I have worked in a dispensary for almost 3 years and this is what I choose to medicate with even though I have access to everything.
