Quick question. Could you make a simple scrubber just by filling up a 4 or 6 inch pvc pipe with carbon, mount it vertically in a cab and hook up the duct to the bottom of it and then go to the fan (outside the cab).. kinda like a "reverse chimney" full of carbon?. ..
    Thanks

  2. I tried it with a piece of 6" duct, some eBay carbon pellets, and a carbon furnace filter. My problem was getting the resistance to my fan right. It was really pulling my fan speed down. I bought a phresh on eBay and it hardly slows down my fan and controls odors perfectly.

  3. Did you try to adjust the amount of carbon or anything??? What size fan was you running?

  4. I was running a 343 cfm max fan. I tried putting less carbon in but didn't get the door control I needed.

  5. dang...... seems like it would have worked.
     Thanks!

  6. to thick of a layer of carbon will bog down the fan as stated...that why most you buy are long tube with a 2 or 3 inch layer of carbon with a sizable core to draw air threw.

  7. Yea, that makes complete sense. ....... thanks
