I have a 5x5 gorilla grow tent but I only plan on using about 3x3 of it with the bubble flow bucket 6 system excluding the reservoir which will be outside of the tent what mh/hps wattage should I use I'm also trying to keep the electricity low I'm going to be running and exhaust fan with the water system running, also does the water system need to run 24/7?
Why not go LED? You'll save a ton on electricity and cooling the resultant heat from 1000w hps Of course not all LED is worthy/capable Now finishing my 3rd grow using AMARE TECHNOLOGIES I'm a Belieber
You could go with a 600w hps in a vented hood, 400w hps with an open hood, Mars II 900 (450w actual draw) No matter what you choose, I'd stay within the 400-600w range if you want to save electric by not using 1kw lighting. Assuming you've got the ventilation to handle it. That is a nice tent though, good luck.

It depends on how you want to grow. If you grow large plants, odds are they will be considerably wider than your buckets and take up more than a 3 x 3 area. You could easily fill that tent from wall to wall with six plants. Want huge plants and higher yield go with a 1k, if you want to grow smaller plants and limit the actual plant area to 3 x 3 then go with a 600w.
