I've had these plants since March 12th and they've started pre-flowering. But with one of my plants I can't tell if its a hermaphrodite or not, yet it's showing signs of pistils. Anything would be helpful. Thanks

    Happy growing!

  2. Please? Somebody? And if this is the wrong area of the forum can somebody send me to the right area?

  3. Looks like 2 caylx and a nub where a fan leaf/ growing shoot the was cut off. Looks fine

  4. I just read up on calyx and their not supposed to show up until the flowering...I'm still in veg. (FYI I'm a new grower, first grow) so I probably sound stupid, but I love new info and caring for my plants is one of my top priorities, so anything helps. Also thanks baker, that took one worry of my mind. I know this is off topic from my forum topic but can trichomes show up on leaves? I need to know because I have white specs (not blotches like WPM) surrounding the outside of certain leaves (like around the edges of the leaf) thank you so much everyone in the community.
    Happy Growing!

  5. The preflowers will show once the plant is of age. It won't start producing flowers until you change light cycle but once old enough you will see primordia caylx growing at the base of branches.

  6. Thanks again baker! But what about my other question? Can you get visible trichomes on a leaf when the entire plants in preflower? I need to know if I have a pest infestation.
    Happy growing!

  7. Someone? Please?

  8. Google capitate sessile, get yourself a microscope, you will need one eventually to determine harvest anyways. If you have grow shops where you live I bet you can pick a good one up for 15$

Nothing to worry about there mate, those are not male flowers. Those are female calyx'! Those will eventually open up and throw some pistils. Congradulations you're having a girl!

And yes you can show some trichomes in preflower. All of my clones have those calyx's and they are covered in trichomes.

I've noticed especially if I took clones from an early flowering plant they will have some trichomes, moreso on the calyx's

  10. But they can show up on regular fan leaves? I'm not talking about like it like EXPLODING with pistils just some white dots around the leaves. Spidermites are to small to see with naked eye and besides some bumps here on leaves I never see any damage that could be done by bugs, and their not in clumps like wpm, when I rub my finger on the leaf they disappear making me think that the trichomes broke off, I know you can use all the leaves and excess stems as trimmings for making tincture and oils and stuff like that so I'm just making sure.

  11. The answer was yes.

  12. Just looks like a female to me.. dont see any hermie.. more pics would been better

  13. why is there stress associated with growing it should be fun!

smoke some shit, do some research, watch your plants grow up....

  14. But there's stress with kids right? Weed surprisingly is the closest thing to relate to that, you want your plant grow as big and as potent as possible. I'm a brand new grower and maybe after a few "girls" I'll have my own root system down for taking care of my babies, maybe just looking for anything to go wrong (you see what I mean!) But your right it should be fun. And thanks for that reminder!
