Pharmaceuticals, big tobacco and alcohol groups are spending big money to pressure government into keeping weed illegal. This way, the rich stay rich. And sadly it is all like this, despite the evidence overwhelmingly showing that weed is a pretty damn safe plant/drug.

I suspect also that the government fear weed because they believe it will promote independent philosophical thought amongst the population. Politicians would prefer to have citizens who do as they are told without thinking critically about what their leaders are doing.

  5. Who would have thaught that the only federally legal grow would be in Mississippi.

"Research in mice showed that these extracts, when used with radiation, increased the cancer-killing effects of the radiation.”

Not in people, in lab animals. In people it appears to just be an effective way to slow the cancer and treat it, increasing survival rates. It has its place, don't worry. And just because it is medicinal doesn't create justification for decriminalization or legalization, but that doesn't mean there are not solid arguments for such; there are.

  7. Weed will be legal in 9 years.
