gallons of whiskey here, not too worry.  but yeah ... thongs ... yikes.

  2. I rather exploit someone else's food hoarding...
    But that's just me.

  3. NASA's good for two things, wasting money and fear porn, that's about it.

  6. It got really cold (20's) here in central WA for about three weeks in december was in the low thirties through january and ever since late febuary it's been nice temps in the 60's with a few days in the 50's and a 70 degree day here and there

  7. Is there any actual evidence or hard data to support this guys claims. Does anyone have a single article to link to support these claims because I can't find a single one online and I hate watching youtube videos?

  11. its not just about loading food with preservatives.

Depending on what the food is made out of, how much water you can remove, and how well you can sanitize it before packaging, food shelf life can be extended a long time without excess preservatives.

Also it can probly last over 12 years, they just want you to throw it out and buy more

  12. I hope it gets colder... Its only spring and I'm already miserable since weather above 60F is too much for me. A perpetual winter sounds pretty nice right about now [IMG]

But yeah, there is never a bad reason to keep extra food around and this is just one example of a good reason.

That isn't too bad at all haha. I'm all the way down south in the mountains of Western NC where it stayed in the teens for most of January with lows dipping into the negatives. Pretty intense for the southeast. Our lowest high was around 1-8 depending on which side of a mountain you were on, the north side stays much colder due to a lack of sun. People at higher elevations had lows down into the negative teens and the temp on Mt. Mitchell (highest point east of the Mississippi) hit the negative 20s with windchills going down to the -50s. It didn't even hit 60 until a couple weeks ago. I had always assumed that Washington would be much colder than that due to its latitude and close proximity to Canada.

  14. Haha maybe . This isn't my daily diet btw even though I have like 100 packs. I use them for a couple day backpacking trips and bug out bag

In the mountains here the south facing slopes are melted off to over 6000 feet elevation is some places while the north sides are still icey and snowey down to 3000. It's been a less than average year for snow, though at higher elevations it is still snowing sometimes.

Thats why I have rifles that can reach out and touch someone at 500-700 yards. Never know what hit you. Assuming its the end times..then I stake your body to a cross so people passing know not to come. A simple yet effective deterrence.
