Last grow, a week before flowering I decided to hit my girls with Doktor Doom Spider Mite Knockdown Spray when the lights turned off.

I fully realize I did make quite a big mistake. I didn't consider the humidity levels, so I stuck them under the (off) light. But the humidity was very high that night (90%+), so the chemicals never dried up. 400w of MH turned on and obviously cooked them. But here's where I am perplexed:

On 2 Indica clones, much of the upper leaves turned a deep purple, if not actually black yet looked and felt perflectly healthy. Followed by the affected parts of the leaves (Generally the effected part was the outer half of the leaf) completely drying up a day later.

On 1 Sativa, the leaves turned brown, shrivled and curled all over the place overnight and caused the tops to twist around. Most of the outer-most leaves then dried up and fell off the next day.

And finally on the last plant, an Indica, no problems whatsoever.

Was it genetics or something else? I wish I had pictures, but unfortunately I never took any. I've used Doktor Doom many times to no ill effect. It was the first time for the Sativa and one Indica though (The clones are 3rd generation reveges and they've had it many times).
