White Widow leaves curling under around bud sites?

  1. I am in need of opinions on my White Widow. She is three weeks into flowering and I noticed a few days ago that the smaller leaves around the buds are "tacking" down. They are curling downwards. Not sure what it could be, she has been pretty stable for awhile. I have her in a 10 gal tub with two air stones, she was on Fox Farm nutes, but had too many issues with them so I switched to General Hydroponics. Room temp is 75-78, rez temp is 65-70, under 600w super hps about 16" from top and 200w cfl as side lighting, humidity is around 50%. Not sure if I am missing any info you may need to help.

  2. Could be a nute lock. When was the last time you flushed?

  3. I flushed with Ph 5.6 water on April 3, gave her new rez with GH nutes with ppm of 750, Ph 5.6. Then after noticing it was happening to a few more bud sites, I took 3 out of the 7 gallons of water out of her rez and added 2 gal of Ph 5.8 water to rez and flushed her with a gallon. Now she is down to 445 ppm. I was thinking maybe I should leave her for a day or two. Forgot to mention that during her dark time on the 7th, she ate up 200 ppm of her nutes, then last night, she ate another 400 ppm, this is the first I have seen her eat up that much nutes at once, does that mean something?

  4. Thanks CloneMan, good read. Like I said, I lowered her ppm to 445 this morning, I was afraid it was some type of nutes burn, she does have a few fan leaves with burnt tips, but for the last few days, I assumed it was because of her being in flowering stage, I mean it is very minimal. I will post back her readings tomorrow.

Just keep uping the nutes till the ppm stays within 20 -30 ppm from where you started in a 24hr period. That lets you know your giving them everything they need in the right amounts. You have got them this far so youve been doing something right. Take them up 1000-1100ppm and see how they do. There heavy feeders in flower.

  6. Ok, so her ppms in 24 hrs went from 445 to 427. I added just 5 months of GH Bloom, but just part B which has less N and more P and K. Took her up to 467. Just wanted to mention that I do have the 200w CFL bulbs as side lighting just about 6" away. Could that have anything to do with it? Also, since you have been a big help, wondering if you know what these light yellow spots are in the pic? This is from a plant I have in veg. I did folier feed with just Ph water a couple times because I thought it looked dry, but I don't see it on the others that were also folier fed. She is my healthiest looking one beside the spots.

i wouldn't got to 1000, rarely does a plant need more than 7-800

i'd set it around 600 and see how it responds

as for the deformed leaves, i've seen this happen in my own grows and it's normally the leaves that form during the transition from veg to flower. wouldn't sweat it too much, as long as the rest of the plant looks healthy

  8. Yeah, I don't plan on going up so high. Even the GH schedule maxes out at 1100 I do believe. I guess I will just keep an eye on the yellowing on my OG. The rest of it looks good.

Ok, so I checked my WW this morning and she went from 467 yesterday to 422, she seems to be sticking to about 40ppm feeding. I think I am going to drain her half way and add some fresh Ph water and nutes to bring her up to about 600 and see what she does. The clawing down still seems to be happening so I backed my 200w cfl up some, but kind of pointless to have it running at 10"-12" away. Not sure if they are the issue, doesn't seem to get too hot to me. Also, she is going into 4th week of flowering and doesn't really smell, but she use to. Could having such low ppm for her be taking away from what she needs to produce?
