  1. Grand Theft Auto the movie?

This could be epic or a complete fail.

Maybe they should just stick to video games.

I don't think this will be that interesting.

  2. BBC films doesn't make video games. This is a bio pic. It's not a GTA adaptation.

  3. Just remember the game DOOM...then the movie DOOM ....bomb de bomber de bum ..aint non'o my money going near dat shit!

  4. Are you people not reading what I wrote? It is not an adaptation of the game. It is about the battle against censorship associated with the game.

  5. They should make a TV show of GTA instead.

One season revolves around one character, another season on another character in a different environment and a third. And the forth continues the story told in season one. As the years pass these three characters cross roads once or twice.

  6. fuck it i'd watch a doc about Sam Houser

  7. I literally LOL.

  8. 'Beating kids works wonders'

  9. Very cool that they are doing that documentary.  I'd watch that.

On the topic of an actual GTA movie  (which this forum seems to be sliding into),    a movie adaptation of GTA 5 could actually be a very good flick.

First Off:  VERY rated R.     We're talking Scarface meets Casino meets New Jack City meets Kalifornia

Director:  Oliver Stone or Martin Scorsese, Tarantino if you're ballsy.

    Cast:  So many choices.

DeNiro and Ray Liotta seem fairly obvious for Michael. Pacino possibly.
Franklin...Jamie Foxx or Denzel if you want to make him older.  Denzel can do anything imo.
Trevor:  I'd say a young Jack Nicholson any day.  Phillip Seymour Hoffman if he were still around just because he can play a crazy dude better than anyone.   Mel Gibson would be an epic Trevor in a hardcore R movie.

  10. It would be way too hard to make an adaptation of a GTA game work. GTAV is soooooooo fucking long! I have played it for hundreds of hours and am still not done.

Now you could do a movie within that universe. Some of Trevor's or Franklin's exploits pre-GTAV for example. But the games themselves are already so fucking cinematic that no one could ever do them justice by compressing 100 hours of gameplay into a 2 hour movie. It's madness to even consider.

Making a movie about the real life struggle of Sam Houser against a group of Prohibitionist turds however, is a great idea. I look forward to seeing this.

  11. If you strip down the story to the main line, you could easily put it into a 2 hour movie.  It doesn't have to follow the game to every inch, especially considering that several parts of the game aren't vital to the main story.       I for one could do without Michael doing Yoga, dealing with his shitty family etc.

  12. Oh..so it's not an actual GTA movie, just the story of? Yeah, I don't think I'll be paying 10$ to see it.

  13. Just remember the game DOOM...then the movie DOOM ....bomb de bomber de bum ..aint non'o my money going near dat shit!
