  1. Hey everyone, I am a first time grower growing 1 plant. Can anyone tell me if this plant looks healthy? It does to me but maybe im missing something. Im using 2 2' t5s and 3 100watt cfls. Any other advice would be awesome! Its been in veg since the 30th of March and is about 5.1 inches tall. Thanks in advance!

  2. Your little girl looks good so far, a little spindly but not too bad. As with all fluorescent lights, you should try to get those lights as close as possible, the side lights look okay but you can try to lift the plant with a couple books or something to get her closer to to top light if the light is fixed. This should stop the stretching and get those nodes a bit closer. You should also be thinking of transplanting to a bigger pot of soil, she looks like she's starting to outgrow that cup already. Good luck!

  3. Thank you! Would you recommend a certain soil to use? Ive read that fox farm is a good general soil to use.

  4. Yep fox farm soil is great, but any organic potting/ seedling mix will work great just Make sure that the one you pick doesn't contain any time released nutrients and you'll be golden. I use an inexpensive organic mix from my local nursery. I do use fox farm nutrients though.

Right now I'm using Fox Farm FX14049 Liquid Nutrient Trio Soil Formula: Big Bloom, Grow Big, and tiger bloom with great results. As always, start slow with the nutrients begin when the seedling is 3 weeks old. Only use 1/4 strength to start and then every couple weeks up the strength a bit. Remember to always mix your nutrients with water (RO, distilled or spring) before you feed it to your plants and only use nutrients with every other watering. Hope that helps!

  5. Thank you! It helps a ton, i really appreciate it!

  6. This chart really helped me out when I was first starting out. Looking at the closeup image of your leaves, it does look like the first stage of nitrogen deficiency though just transplanting into a bigger container can help in the beginning.

  7. Ok awesome! I also picked up some nutrients that are high in nitrogen. I just used it for thr first time when watering this morning

  8. What nutes did you get?
I myself have a 1 plant grow going in FFOF as we speak. I do use the trio, but the company Sunleaves has Mexican & Jamaican Bat Guano I use. (Mexican = 10-1-1, Jamaican = 0-10-0) After about 3 weeks I add Mexican Guano at about 1/2 portion per feed to ensure she takes to them. Fox Farms Soil is sucked dry of nutes after 3-4 weeks depending on plant size and pot size. Also, if you do switch to FFOF be sure to mix in a little dolomite lime to ensure no cal mag deficiency happens.

  9. Im using Floranova Grow during veg and Floranova bloom during flowering. But its sounding like i should look at the trio next time...so much information to try and obsorb!

  10. The trio is good, and will make them massive if used correctly. They have a feeding schedule at Fox Farms website.
