Has anyone else out there taken apart their original MicroG Pen coil and found the compartment under the "metal cup" full of reclaim? I was surprised to see a hole in the bottom of the ceramic cup, but i tried to look beyond that. Until.... I took it apart and found all my oil hiding inside. Ive only had my pen for a few days, I couldn't imagine how much reclaim would be under there in an older coil. Wow.
This is one of the reasons they burn out quick. With a lot of residue being left over, it shorts the circuit
Yes I could see that happening. My coil wasn't working properly one day, so I popped off the mouthpiece and saw my nice melted dab sitting in the ceramic cup, then all of a sudden it dissapeared through the hole in the ceramic cup. I wonder if that is what causes these coils to short out so quickly for people.
