I'm planning on picking up my card tomorrow. I didn't know smoking marijuana was so complicated. I've just roughly browsed the strains, but I have no idea really, what's gonna benefit me other than sativa. I know marijuana has lots of benefits, as sleep aids and stuff. ButI'm planning on using it more for focus/inspiration for my writing. Due to my current living situation, I've been suffering massive insomnia, and I've been a zombie on my writing days. It doesn't help that I'm schizoid, thereby a desensitized robot to begin with. Having trouble connecting with my characters' feelings. I'm 30 and I've never tried weed before, so I have zero reference point. I am however pretty experienced with mushrooms. I love how philosophical it makes me, but I'm not keen on the fact that I need to be in a fasted state for an extended period of time, and that I'm bedridden. I've heard of many writers writing/reading under the influence of weed, so I'm hoping it'll be something that can induce a philosophical mood without making me pass out. Also, I would lose dosage recommendations for writing. I'm planning to get a pipe, so I'm wondering if you smoke the whole thing, and then start writing. Or smoke and write simultaneously? What's optimal? Thanks.
I usually write while smoking a Joint. I smoke hash so I dunno about a strain for writing but if I would have to guess it will be anything indica rather than sativa but either way, roll yourself a joint and just relax.
Personally sativa dominant strains make the most sense to me. Energetic and get the mind flowing. I feel indica dominant strains would make it hard to focus on a specific task other then staring at the fridge wondering if there is food in there. But hey, why not just pick up a gram of like 4-5 different strains and try them, see what works best for you.
