i need advice or suggestions on growing techniqe.i have several small harvests in single 4x4,with autos.i wanted to expand because i love growing it more than smoking an thought it be fun thing get into. so heres where im at.im renting a 1 bedroom house so couldnt do anything permant.i have a 2x3x3 yield lab seedling clone tent.i have a 180watt blackstar l.e.d with fans too vent. for veg im running 2 4x4x6.5 gorilla grow tents.each one with 600 watt mh cooltubed out. each one self ventilated,what i mean is this, each tent has its own ventilation system starting with carbon filter with 645cfm vortex fan attached hung in back of tent thenventilation tubing from fan thru cooltube out top of tent where it meets a 2 into 1 stovepipe piece other 4x4 goes to other end they are both then vented thru cieling into attic.each 600 watt mh is ran off a dimmable 600 watt nanolux digital ballasts.each fan is on speed control dials with timers. now for flower tent. its a 6.5x6.5x6.5 gorilla grow tent. inside is two 1000 watt hps lights with horticulture super h.p.s bulbs and xxxl reflector with cooltubes.each light is on rail lighting it takes 3min for each light to go 6.5'.pwering each light is nanolux 1000 dimmable ballasts with 50%75%100% and superlux setting 110%. stay with me here i have 1 big carbon filter hanging in back venting goes thru cf with 645cfm vortex fan out fan thru one light a canister fan and into second light out back side of light thru another vortex fan then out top of tent vented thru cieling into attic. each fan is ran off its own speed controller and off 1 enviorment controller.all that does is let me set a temp for daytime and temp for night time.it adjusts accordingly. thank you too those who read all that and get it and still here.grow plan as follows:each veg tent 5 weeks apart,then split flower tent in half right side 5 wks younger than left side.so left side of flower tent is in weeks 5-10 of flower.purpose of long veg is going too top them multiple times and after 5 days in flower lollipop them by 50% use clippings for clones.cycle starts over should get a harvest every 5 weeks.doing either 3 or 5 gal air pots with ffof and nute trio to go with. anyone see any holes in my plan? any weak points in design,equipment,or suggestions bout soil nutes or grow tech? please reply what your thoughts ive spent nearly $5000.oh starting with clones from past grow of strawberry cough,white widow,707 headband,tijuana,and shit called yummy.5 clones of each.
So you have a seedling tent, two veg tents, and a flower tent being used as two sections... but only plan to get a harvest every 5 weeks? Why not have your seedling tent and a single veg tent. Then have two tents (4x4 and the 6.5x6.5) for flowering, with three total sections. You could have things coming down every 3 weeks give or take. Although you should have plenty coming down every five weeks if you like growing more than smoking, this would open up the possibility of more strains. With $5,000 invested it might be a good idea to look into hydro, and just read on this site in general. Always good to learn or help someone else out.
Thanks guesswhat. I read on here if you top multiple times you should give 2 months in veg allow time to recover.I'm sure I be able figure it out after awhile.I always heard hydro was a lot harder an more expenses but buying soil for each grow is crazy expensive especially using 5 gallon bags.how can I make it every 3 weeks
Ive been looking into similar strategies for a 3 week harvest and have come up with a 2x1000w hps assembly line-style scrog(12ftx5ft flower space narrow room) with multiple 2x5 modular scrogs. I plan to add two 2x5 scrogs 3 weeks after the first and in sequence according to harvest for a perpetual harvest. rooms built waiting for genetics now. So I don't know how well this theory will play out.
I dont see the point in keeping the seedlings apart from the veg (my cuttings go into my 5 gal. cloner with the dome ontop and sit in my veg room with there own light). Yes i get humidity is different for cuttings to small veg plants but this is why i use a dome. I would have a seedling tent with all my clones and small plants, then 1 veg tent for my larger plants, and the two flower tents. You could have defiantly cut the need for all the fans by routing your veg fan threw both veg tents and choosing the right lighting. Vegging with a MH is going to cost you a fortune and add a tone of un necessary heat, should have defiantly went with a T5 HO with the same lumen count as a 1000 watt MH bulb for 150$ and uses 59 watts. As for grow strategy i would be going with Mainlining from day one..Screens are going to be a pain in the ass for you. SCRoG slows down the veg stage by taking time to fill the screens and with your set up i would be basically just powering plants from 1 room to the next. with Mainlining you can easily move the plants, dont have to dick around with screens, can be put into flower at any point without cutting the yield short (screens not full enough yet) and lastly its a super easy grow method. SCRoG is more used when you dont have space for a large number of plants and need to maximize the grow surface of 1 or two plants, or when you veg and flower in the same room.
