    Read my response to the same decarb question 2 posts down from the one you referenced. Aging is the reason. I have limited response options on this tablet but if no one has helped you with the bud response by the time I get back, I'll do that.

    I read it, i dont quite understand. I think my weed is probably not that old. But i cant tell. Its slightly moist. Good to smoke for sure, to get high off the tincture should i decarb?

    I still don't understand, PSam has a thread on tincture making.

    Read the thread and then ask your questions.

    Also, by hijacking Sam's name in your title there exists a potential for confusion.

    My question has been answered, this thread was going to die.. i didnt ask it there because theres lpts of people asking things and i didnt want to not get an answer.

    You're likely to get a quicker answer in my tincture threads than creating a separate one because while there may be multiple topics being discussed simultaneously, I make a point of rapid response if physically able and I don't always check the new threads. I don't mind that you used this as a thread title. It got my attention and that was it's goal. I'm always happy to talk about this stuff.
     
    You should decarb any buds that are within a few months of harvest. Mine was leaf and old and then been processed with dry ice which would help with any decarb if it needed it. I recommend kief as the best way to make a 151 Green Dragon but it's not mandatory. With bud you won't be able to concentrate it as heavily as you could with kief but you can get a good product.
