I'd like for some input on what I'm missing or things you find excessive or too little of. I want to create a 10x10 grow room if I could get some opinions on what you guys would do or change out that would be awesome! :]

And another question! What type of support would I need on the electrical asepct to keep this running? Thank you! :]

  2. I love htg, but I'm not impressed at all by those growbright carbon filters. I have 1 but no longer use it as my main, its on the shelf as a back up. The 1st grow I used it with was a lower scent strain and I was happy, but when it came to some stinkier strains I had to upgrade. Bought a phresh brand filter and they don't even compare. The extra money is well worth it IMO for peace of mind. Smells a big concern for me. There's a few other brands I would go with before purchasing another growbright brand filter.

    Thanks for the input! [IMG]

Is this filter big enough for a 10x10x7 room? http://growershouse.com/phresh-intake-filter-8-x-16-750-cfm

I happen to run across this generator! http://www.titancontrols.net/products/co2-devices/ares-2-burner-co2-generators.aspx and I'll probably be getting a co2 timer also if this is the one I'm going for. It seems really expensive tho.. $500+ for this setup. Is it worth it or should I just manually add co2 and check it on my co2 meter?

What do you guys think of this compared to a standard co2 tank and regulator?

I was also looking at bulbs and I didn't know that they made such a big difference when it came to the brand! I'm debating if I should get the HTG bulb $0/MH 600 Watt Sunmaster $40/HPS 600 Super Hortiulux $68. Is it worth getting the more expensive bulbs? If so, should I get both the sunmaster and hortilux? If anything I think just the hortilux would be the best option.

  5. are you in an arid area where you can use a evaporative (swamp) cooler?  if you're in a humid area it will not work well and you need to go with A/C

  6. I understand exactly what you were saying I saw a couple threads about this when I was doing my due diligence. What I want to have is a completely enclosed grow room with the "Swamp" cooler providing necessary humidity and cooling. And the dehumidifier working against it to keep it balanced. In return I get the best of both worlds, ac seem to be more expensive too. [IMG]

You are probably fighting against yourself there.

How dry is your local air? Assuming that it is dry enough for a swamp cooler to work well, it's too dry for the plants, so they will probably appreciate the extra moisture the cooler will add. So long as you have a good air flow out of the room, it should work well.

You won't be able to just run a swamp cooler and dehumidifier together in a sealed room. Both devices generate waste heat, so even if you were able to balance the two for moisture, it would be sucking down power and still heating up the room.

If your running a dehumidifier to counteract the humidity from a swamp cooler your not going to be saving much $$$ only creating more hassle and risk of mold if something doesn't work. An a/c doesn't cost much more to run then a dehumidifier. By the time you throw a swamp cooler in there it may cost more. If your in a humid environment like me, a/c is the only way to go
