I feel like I should put an introduction here or something but I'm too high so lets get right to it..

    My Setup:

Here are my girls as of today:
    20150331_073609.jpg

They are 2 Super Lemon Haze clones I picked up from a local dispensary. My original plan was to put 3 plants under the net in 5Gal smart pots but this was literally the only 2 clones I could find in Socal, sucks to know a bunch of smokers but no growers lol.

I've been doing some LST to prep them for the net. I think I read it's not a good idea to top clones but I don't know why, can anybody clear that up for me?

Also I'm getting some leaf discoloration but I'm thinking it's a result of the FFOF soil.

I'll be posting a lot of questions as I go so please don't hesitate to answer or give your opinion. Feel free to post any questions or comments too! Stay lifted [IMG][IMG]

  2. Decided to pop a fem Barney's Farm Cookies Kush bean and try to catch up to the SLH clones.

Getting a lot of discoloration on one of the clones. I'm attributing it to the nutes in the soil. Next time I think I'll get soil that's less hot for my young plants.

  3. subbed in for this!

    Chef.

  4. subbed up man lets get it. thinkin of doing similar, but over a 5x12 area with 2000w. cant wait. waiting this week for my gens

  5. I'm excited to see how that Barney's Farm girl does! :metal:

Finally got the two Super Lemon Haze clones transplanted into their 5 Gal smart pots.

The Cookies Kush seedling is also doing well. Hopefully the timing will work to my advantage when filling out the angled screen, with the tall girls on the outside and CK in the middle.

  7. Finally got a nice growth spurt out of the SLH twins. I've only given them one light feeding of grow big, big bloom and calmag.

The Cookies Kush baby looks good but I was hoping it would grow a little faster. I've only given her RO water.

My temps are hovering around 83-85F.  Heat is always an issue here I'm just hoping to finish this run before it gets into the 90's but it looks like I'm gonna run well into summer.

I'll probably set the screen up in the next couple days and report back. [IMG]

  8. Subbed, I love SLH

  9. You mentioned your soil being too hot but to me it looks like you need to feed.  Yellowing lower leaves could be a nitrogen shortage, eh?  Plus your SLH had the growth spurt around the time you fed, was that before or after the feeding?

  10.
I think it was after I fed. That's definitely a possibility, I've had problems from over feeding in the past so now I'm very conservative with nutes but maybe I found the other end of the spectrum. If that's the case the little one looks like it could use some Nitrogen as well.

  11. So I got the screen installed and the Super Lemon Haze girls are coming along nicely. I missed my screen idk what I was thinking going without it last time.

The Cookies Kush on the other hand is uncooperative.  [IMG] I gave her some Nitrogen and she perked up and grew a couple leaf sets but she won't get bigger. She looks way too small to be rootbound. I tried to check the roots today but the soil was too loose.  Next time I'm using clear cups inside solid cups.

To top it off I let her dry out and all her leaves wilted. She's recovering but I'm kind of stuck.. I'd like to figure it out because I was planning on running this strain for awhile.

Gonna transplant the little one and see if I get any growth.

Some Blue Diamond Rosin I'm dabbing today while I watch the grass grow.

  13. Transplanted the Cookies Kush. I think I fucked up and used way too much perlite and that's why it didn't grow properly. I would be shocked if I could make it through a full grow without one dumb move lol :bongin:

Put her in about 3 Gallons of soil. I guess my plan is to let the roots settle in for a week or so(?) and then toss them in flower. Just hoping for a nice sample of Cookies Kush but these Super Lemon Haze girls are getting big and bushy.

Should I clear out the bottom 1/3 of growth at the same time I flip or earlier? Does anybody read my journal? Find out next week in SSSDSSSB...

  14. i think they prune a couple times prior to the flip

and then finish up at the switch to flower

lookin great tho brother. can see it turning out great already[IMG]

  15. I appreciate it. I'm excited to see how the canopy shape looks in flower.

  16. i like your bent screen framing. more surface area to fill = more buds

    genious [IMG]

  17. Thanks, yeah my outermost buds weren't getting enough light so I figured this would give the most even canopy.

    Looks like different lights

  18. Everything is going well. Probably gonna flip tomorrow and I'm debating if I should tuck one more time.

The little one is doing much better. Too bad I couldn't fix her up earlier.

  19. Nice, looking very good. Cant wait to see those beautiful flowers :)

  20. I switched my light to HPS and a 12/12 schedule two days ago. They looked a little stressed from the flip plus today they were pretty dry. Poor girls. I need to stay on top of the water schedule they are drying out every 4 days at this point.

I tested the soil pH by taking a small handful of soil from the pot, mixing it well with a small amount out RO water, let it soak for a minute and test the water. Both SLH plants read 6.0pH but I know my RO water is closer to 7 so my soil must be 5.7-5.9, too low, should be about 6.5. I've noticed in my combination of FF soil and nutes the pH drifts down. This caused a lot of problems for me in the past but now I just adjust everything a little higher that goes in and test the soil fairly regularly.

    My feed mix today:

    Approx. 3.5-4 gallons RO water
    8 tbsp Big Bloom
    4 tsp Tiger Bloom
    4 tsp CalMag
    pH adjusted to 7.5

I'm still only feeding about 50% strength of the minimum recommended strength. I'm afraid to over fertilize. I have a PPM pen but I don't measure or take it into consideration. I just realized I should at least be recording my PPM in order to recognize trends.

Grabbed a couple pics before lights off

The Cookies Kush is getting some thick new growth but still no side branching ???

Got my biggest electric bill to date. This better give me a massive yield lol :bongin:
