always getting bad trips?

  1. Ok so i have been smoking for a year now and for some reason i get alot of shitty trips. I notice that for the first 40 minutes i feel like shit everything is going wrong and i have no clue where i am and whats going on but after that the rest of the high is intense but i can manage it. This only happens when i cough alot its really weird and I can't figure out why. If I rip a big bowl and cough alot i know that i am going to have a bad trip but if i slowly take my time with the bong and dont cough im fine but its really annoying. I have tried several different strains and there is no difference why does this keep happening to me?

     
  2. Smoke less, you're over doing it and that is what's causing the paranoia. Taking smaller hits will also help, maybe try some joints or stick to the bong.

  3. even if i smoke once in a week and i cough too much i get so messed and its the scariest thing because i try to tell myself that its just the weed but my mind cant comprehend it. I don't know am i the only who gets this like whaaa
     
  4. Smoking once a week is extremely infrequent. Id get that screwed up if i was you too! Take like one teeny hit when you smoke next.

    Maybe you are allergic - don't know if it would cause something psychological like this but it's worth a shot. Because this shouldn't be happening.
    It's probably just all in your mind. Like someone else said, just smoke a small amount - take one hit off a pipe and wait fifteen minutes.
     
  9. everything you said happens to me, probably worse. The frequent bad highs, coughing and having a bad high. 
     
    The biggest thing for me was smoking in stressful situations. Like smoking while parents are home, smoking in public, smoking anywhere that will make you nervous. But when i smoke at my friends house when its just me and him, its amazing. 
     
    Another thing i did was eat food an hour before and drink water before and after, but dont drown yourself with water or you might feel bloated and sick.
     
    And finally, smoke hybrid strains. Indicas are boring in my opinion, and sativas are fun but too intense. I feel like indica takes out the negatives of sativa. 
     
  10. Mmmm I feel like there's several factors that go in to it. Everything everybody mentioned above is completely true.

    Smoke smaller amounts, the dude who tries to show off and take the biggest rip is the dude who ends up knocked out on the couch sleeping like a baby and wasting a high.

    Another big thing is your environment, but more importantly the people with you. Just start laughing who cares if you're in public or whatever(I could understand the parent part), but learning to just relax, go with it, and enjoy your buzz is the best way. I like to smoke with my homies and go out to boudin or panera and get some really good food and just laugh out of enjoyment of my taste buds going willlddddd.

    Another thing is diet and health. Weed is just like alcohol in the sense it takes energy for your body to process and remove it from your body. The less available energy you have the slower your body will burn it off and the more intense it will hit you. I often smoke before or after runs, and I tell you what, nothing is better than getting back from a run, smoking a bowl and getting some easily processed energy from your greens and fruits

    But if you ever get too high just stuff your face and wash it down with some Hemp2o or some other great cottonmouth cure.

    Smoke less as in less at a time. If you're coughing a bunch then you probably took too big of a hit.

  13. Only smoke as much as you need.  Take a toke, wait 15 or twenty minutes and if you another (or two) go for it.
     
    No reason for this flower to cause you issues.
