I want to make my own homemade glass bong but need help finding supply's I already have a 3/4" diamond drill bit but I don't know what I can use as a downstem or where I can get a grommet. I don't live near a hardware store but I live near a autozone, and a Walmart. Im planning on using the lid of a chochulo bottle as the bowl but where can I buy a peice of metal tubing or something to use as the down tube please help!!!!!?
There are a lot of metals that you do not want to be smoking out of and a bottle cap is pretty close to the top of the list. You can buy kits online that have a glass downstem, slide, and rubber grommet in one package, just make sure you get one that will work with the drill bit you already have.

Honestly, my best homemade piece was a mason jar bubbler. I would look into making one of those. I've never made a homemade quality bong. But I guess if you want you can give it a go. For the down stem I'd use a metal pen or one of those air pressure tire gauge things, you can pull off the top and you have a perfect tube. And for the bowl id use an empty pellet gun CO2 cartridge. Ram a screw driver through the little part at the top to make the whole bigger, then use a saw to cut off about an inch off the top and you have a perfect bowl. Good luck man!
