So my grow room is a DIY that I made. It measures 2'x4'x4'. Right now I have 3 plants started to attempt scrog. This is my first grow and I'm making a journal to get the best advice from you guys that I can. I have 1mil mylar as a reflector and 6x 6500k daylight cfls spread across my tent. They are 26w I believe... for 100w replacements. I'll upload pics of grow room tonight but as of now here are some plant pics. I started one off in a smaller pot before I bought the larger. I am using FF happy frog and I have FF nutes to use when I figure out how to. A big issue I have is watering and flushing so if anyone could enlighten me I'd appreciate it. Also if anyone knows what kind of yield I can expect that'd be awesome. All help and tips are greatly appreciated.

  2. sub'd.

I've never seen plants grow upside down before [IMG]

looks like a good start. my watering cycle on the new plants in my nursery is about 4oz every other day, that is the ones in 6" pots. the smaller pots usually get a couple ounces a day. my humidity and temps, + a circulation fan dry them up pretty quickly. My next "to do" is to do the organic mulch cover, using clover. Seems like there's always something.

I've learned a ton on here, and still learning. Trying to get it all just right, lights, soil, temps, light distance...

  3. I think I read somewhere that using mulch was a no go? Not entirely sure. Do you think I have enough light?

  4. My humidity is low but I have been unsuccessful at raising it. Bought a small humidifer but it didn't do anything.

  5. Wat up indoor I was reading ur journal and ur issue with watering IMO if ur soil is not drying up fast enough then u need more lighting to dry that dirt bro good fresh air flow helps out a lot to and don't sweat to much about humidity right now is not a big issue if ur humidity goes up and down

  6. Thanks for the advice man. I've already been thinking about more lighting. My avg humidity is only 20% is that bad or can they cope with that?

  7. Yah there good and if want to raise humidity in ur grow area just set out a Lil dish or Tupperware of water and let it evaporate slowly with ur lights that's Wat I do to keep my humidity right

    2nd that!

My humidity was in the mid 20s and now it's low 30s. Of course, that depends on which digital gauge I use [IMG] $10 amazon buys, so probably not 100% accurate...

I mulch my nursery plants right now with some red cedar mulch I had about. For organic grows, I'm reading about how growing clover in the soil acts as mulch and as "food" when it breaks down. The whole No-Till grow stuff... [IMG]  so, still learning on the mulch front myself.

lights. there are GCers doing complete veg/flower grows with just CFL lights. But yea, from what I can tell, you'll want more light, especially for flowering. I'm running a combo of 23w CFLs and a 180w LED in my nursery, seems to be working ok. My "Flower Tower" is all LED, 2 300w Mars "1" leds, and an Apollo 240w led. I have the 240w OFF for now, can't keep my temps under 90 degrees with all 3 on [IMG]  Pretty sure the general rule of thumb is, More Power(light) to the Flower [IMG]

  10. Ya I just ordered some socket plugs and adapters for more bulbs on amazon

  11. Do you have any good reflectors or 3 bulb adapters you found on amazon? Best I could find is 2.

  12.
not really. I usually pick that kinds of stuff up locally at Job Lot or Home Debot. By reflector, you mean those "hoods" that fit over the light, like a heat lamp thing? Cause mine came with those and I just took them off, only because I have the LED light above them and didn't want to cast a shadow.

Ya i was talking about hoods. Heres an overnight update. The first two are my oldest plant which is about a week ahead of the other 2. Leaves seem a little droopy or do they look ok on plant 1?
