It kind hard to see, it could be algae growth I can't really tell from your picture. Best thing to do is clean out your res and air line and refill with fresh nutes. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Is it suppose to look droopy like this? Just concerned.... A Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Also I keep getting root rot Also second picture shows distance from water I did get a new pump water is at 67. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Are you getting light penetration into your res from the sides or are they taped off too. You need to get something to control your bacteria, I use zone from Dutch master and I never have issues with bacteria even at warmer temps, I highly recommend it. You need to do a deep cleaning bacteria is very small and you can imagine how thorough of a cleaning you should do. Nice addition to the garden you can almost never have too much air. JRAS
No light penetration in the reservoir, I have hydroguard I cleaned out the reservoir and scrubbed everything Seems like I have to do this every 5 days. I was hoping maybe at least 7 days One question. When should I turn to flowering? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Most of the time plants double in height and more depending on strain. I would first get all your issues under control so you have a stabile plant going into flower then figure your space that you have and go off of that. JRAS
Ok thanks. I am getting a 300w LED from MarsHydro on the 24th which should help a little more with heat Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum Still feel like she's so small right now at least... Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
It's been growing from seedling for how long a month or 5 weeks? If so yea it's a bit small but you really can't expect incredible results with low quality lighting that does hinder it. I'm sure the led will also help out with this giving you more power wider spectrums. I have a comparison for you. This is a shot of my one the day it went into bucket March 23rd For 2 weeks it was under a 150w cfl until I had room and then she was and currently is under a 250w hps and here is her current state. JRAS
Wow that is Amazing to say the least. I have 4 bulbs in there (cfl). Not much watts I'll say that, I figured it being close to it would be enough. I can't wait to get the LED. HPS is too much heat in my grow box. This is my first grow and will probably get a tent in the future Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Yea I agree with you the led will be perfect for your size grow. I'm sure when you get it and hook it up you'll see a drastic change. JRAS
Just a small update, I've added two more bubblers (3 in total now) to my res Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
My advice is to quit screwing around with frozen water bottles, bite the bullet and get a chiller. You won't regret it.
Use Z7 by Flying Skull Products it will keep the bacteria at bay http://flyingskull.net/proddetail.php?prod=Z7-Enzyme-Cleanser I still use it in my recirculating drip system. I use to grow for a dispensary and I used a Current Culture UCDWC with a chiller but at home dwc so I had to use it because I wasn't about to pay $300 for a chiller plus the cost to run it is like running a 1000 watt hps. Also the roots look like they are stained by the nutes which is normal if your nutes are dark in color. When you get that Mars 300w keep it at 12" to get good results I own 2 of those and 2 1600, 1 900 and 1 1200. But now I've gone to white powered leds that I make myself
What do you guys think about this chiller? http://m.ebay.com/itm/141534605929 I found this for around $90 on eBay. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
It might work because you only have a 2 gal res but it doesn't use a refrigerant. I think it works like a radiator not for sure info vague.
Found this interesting video A DIY HYDRO chiller http://youtu.be/s4DHZfI0ix4 Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
A nice science project. Has been proposed by a few before and shot down. Peltier devices are power hogs.
Just got my LED lightin....already hooked it up...heres some pics...I'm switching her to the flowering stage soon any suggestions are helpful...any training methods I should use? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
