Mars 2 Hydro Voltage issues.

  1. Hello all,

I recently got the Mars 2 1200W LED to put into my 4x4x6.5 grow tent, and I have run into an issue with the electrical output of my outlet. So every socket in my room is 120 v, so I have been running this light for about 2 weeks at less than half capacity! The plants have been fine except for one small guy who might have root rot but at this point I just want to get the full 500-600 watt draw that I paid for! Any suggestions would be helpful, I cannot replace the circuit breaker.

    Thanks

  2. i do feel sorry for this, you are really the first one to report this with us, and please send me some pictures about this issue, so that i can feedback to our engineer, and give you a good solution, hope that's ok.

  3. Not wihtout replacing your breaker. Nothing you can do, send the light back or use the correc tpower output for the light.

Something that shoul dbe taken into consideration before purchase.
    Chef.

  4.
do you mind send us some pictures about the draw power testing? i need that to feedback and then give you a solution, hope cna hear from you soon. also answered your PM.

  5. I had a friend consult and he thinks we can hook up a transformer to the wall to get 240 volts and hook that up to the light. Now the light is ac85-265, so does that mean it adjusts amps according to voltage or just works with what is given? That is what I assumed.

it will change due to different voltage, but  absolutely as big as you described.

can you show you the pictures or video about draw power? if that's true, i will apply a good solution for you, as this is the first time be reported about this. [IMG][IMG]

  7. I will try to get a picture of the draw power up tonight. thank you for being so attentive Sarah!

  11. If anyone is still having questions about growing Mars 2 LEDs, let me tell you the actual wattage for price is incredible. This is my snow goddess now! 12. So how did she solve the issue and what was your harvest ??

  13. I haven't harvested yet, I haven't even flipped to flower still need one week. I will absolutely update when it happens.

The light works great on 120volts, I'm running about 620 watts from the 1200 watt Mars 2 right now.

  14. I plan on buying a 700w Mars II sometime soon, also running on a 120v outlet. Does this mean I won't get the full output?

  15. Well you never get full wattage from the led lights, but I would expect 330 maybe even 360 watts from it. The amperage covers for it but I can only attribute my high draw power to utilizing max Amps on 120 volt outlets. Remember the Mars 2 led is rated for 110v so I figure I got a little extra.

  16. my 1200 is 555 on a Kill a Watt. And my 700 is 330.

  17. Are you running on 110 volts or 120

  18. That makes sense, the 1200 runs on 5.43 amps.

  19.

the real draw power for Mars II 700W is 300-380V.
