  1. Hey all, I am reletively new to hydropnics and I have a problem I cant seem to figure out. I am willing to do anything to solve it. I recieved 6 clones the other day, transplanted them at night and now they seem to be having all sorts of problems. If it looked like 1 problem I think I could solve it but I dunno. Heres my info and a few pictures if anyone knows what it looks like or things to try please let me know. If not for me, then the girls. lol

Ph 5.8 goes up to 6.5 or so before I adjust it back down.
MH 600W about 4 feet up (They were just transplanted 3 days ago)
I used a weak nute mix. 1/8 strengh recipe for sucess kit Veg stage (I know it fucked up there) I use well water and total nute mix is 400ppm (with the water), Didnt think it was too high.
When transplanted, the roots were carefully taken care of. Water level was an inch into the net. (I thought I might have it up too high)

Since the first night after transplanting the leaves started to droop, and some parts turned yellow. I want to say nute burn but they are 1/8 strengh, and the "Burn" wasnt really on the tips, they were in random places.

Since then I added some root 66 and some B1 foilage spray.
Today they looked a little worse. I feared they were being poisoned. So today I did a drain and replenish with 1/2 solution bushdoctor boomerang. The new water is 5.8.
Do I wait? What does it look like to you? Anything else to check.

  2. Looks to me like there is a few deficiencies, probably being locked out from too high of PH. i had similar issues anytime my PH went over 6.1. started keeping it around 5.5-60 and things started to get healthier. Good luckl I hope this helps.

  3. I second that It does look like symptoms of ph fluctuation.

  4. In my personal experience, clones of some strains do this when being transferred from a cloner to a DWC veg system. I've seen it happen so many times. Typically, the smaller leaves (I call them baby leaves) will get spotty or shrivel. Only happens for a week or so until the plant puts out more "teenage" leaves. It might be a PH issue, but you are inside the proper range. Also, make sure you are taking your readings at the same time every day. The PH will naturally fluctuate, and if you're not taking regular readings you might catch it at an up point and ph down when you don't really need to, the sudden drop in PH and acidic nature of what you're applying can stress the plant. Feel free to take a look at my grow if you want to see what I do with DWC.

  5. Thanks for the replys. Things have actually started getting worse. I was afraid I was giving them deficencys so I went to 1/4 strengh on the recipe for sucess kit. The water level is just touching the bottom of the net pot. Since then I have kept the PH at 5.8-6.2 area. Now the leaves are turning yellow starting on the edges and working in, growth is definetly stunted, and all the leaves are drooping. I am afraid they are not going to make it. I wish I had something to go on, because they havent responded to anything I have done to help. Nitrogen too low? If so what would you reccomend adding to increase just nitrogen? Any help is greatly appreciated.

U can use rocks but it takes an experienced grower to make the rock thing work.  The rocks arent gonna do any positive for the plant at this stage. You are def on the right track...thats weeks of decent growth before things went haywire i bet.

keep that water level lower and pH down and she may perk up..

Try 5.8 water and no food for right now and get some expanded clay pebbles
