I love seeing time lapse growth. It's amazing how a little small seed can turn into a 12-13 foot tree in just 5-6 months. River sand is a great source of micronutrients. I wish sept would hurry and get here now lol bc that's when the buds are getting fat and I can stare at them for hours
Do u guys think I can start using protekt 2.5 ml to 1 gallon of water and start feeding them the silica? I want to try and get the stems as thick as possible before they go out in the hills. Here is what they look like now. They are growing nicely tho since the Yucca & insect frass spray a few days ago.
Whatever floats your boat man. Just don't go too heavy on it. Looks like they're taking off nicely now.
thx bro ya they are moving along nicely since that aloe and frass foliar. im gonna wait 1 more week though before i give them any protekt. the protekt will make the stems alot thicker and the leaves like rubber. it will also help to hold bigger buds and be a physical barrier for fungi and pests, making it alot harder to infect the plant or damage it. im gonna set them out in the hill on may 10. i popped a cream carmel and purple maroc 2 days ago as well. brings my plant count up to 24. thats all im gonna be doing this year tho bc its gonna be alot of work to care for these. my thinking was i want to have something coming in ever week after sept 10th to harvest up till mid oct
So far im loving these jacky white & biddy earlys. they are the most vigours plants out my 25 i got out as of now,but that can all change once they get to their final spots. i know where the Jacky, delahaze and biddys are gonna be going. they are going to the best plots with the most sun.. serious 6 is starting to pick up steam though..the others that im not to impressed with so far is the church, herbiei and blueberry headband. i havent gave them anything in the last week other then aloe vera,ful-humix and ful-power. im gonna be waiting till next week and then start them out on 1.25ml per gallon of protekt. anyways here is a few pics of my favs. the strains in this pic will be going in my living soil organic soil mix. here is the soil mix that im using for water only till harvest. i said to my self who ever comes out the gate showing the most potential will get the best mix so know i know unless something changes before 10th of may which is my transplant to final spot time. 1 Part Worm Power Ewc 1 Part Sphagnum Peat Moss 2/3 Part Pumice 1/3 Part Rice Hulls \tNutrients in the soil: Acadian Kelp Meal @ 1/2 Cup per cubic foot Neem Cake and Karanja Cake 50/50 Mix @ 1/2 cup per cubic foot Crustacean Meal @ 1/2 cup per cubic foot Gypsum Dust @ 1 Cup Per Cubic Foot Brix Blend Basalt @ 1 Cup Per Cubic Foot Glacial Rock Dust @ 1 Cup Per Cubic Foot Oyster Flour @ 1 Cup Per Cubic Foot
Just wanted to add that I popped a purple Marco since I had 1 freebie. I want to see if this strain is early and mold resistant is as good as people claim on UK 420. If it's done for them by 3rd week in September then it should be even earlier for me,since my lat is a lot lower.. Anyways here it is about to pop up
Just got another bag of this frass in. I'm gonna buy a 25 lb bag next month. I want to mix it in with the soil and also use it as foliar spray for bud rot prevention. The active ingredient is chitosan. If u guys don't know what chitosan is then I highly recommend u to read up on it.
I had to bring the lady's indoors tonight. It's what is locals call dogwood winter and temps are gonna be in the mid 30s. I didn't want them out in the shed and it that cold. I figured it might slow root growth down.
I wonder if this is just a regular wiggler or is it a earthworm?? I picked him up and put him in one my holes with a bunch of organic things anyway. View attachment 1758663
not sure why it didn't put the pic in the post above this one. Tap-a-talk is a pain in the ass sometimes. It rained last nite is why it's muddy as hell. I happen to see this worm after removing some the top soil so I could put my happy frog in its place
I visited plot 3,4, and 5 today to trim back some tree limbs with my pole cutter. Everything is starting to green up nicely. They all have a close water sources to so not much carrying. That's the beauty of living in the Appalachian mountians.. Here is the before transplant pics of the place. I'll throw up some after pics after turkey season which is May 10 with the little lady's in their final homes.
My horse shit just arrived. It's still got some breaking down to do but I'm gonna put it on a few potential locations for the 2016 season. There is some that is already been broke down. It's been laying and turned since November at a friends house. When I was shoveling it out the back that red plow I seen red wiggler in it from time to time. Those are earthworms aren't they? If that is the case I have them all over my yard. When I take my pups out at nite and take a flash light I see them and soon as they see my light they shoot back into a little small hole in the ground.
I just got this book in today. I'm also gonna buy guerilla trade secrets, pest and disease control cannas book and the holy grail cannabis grow bible.
I was turning my horse shit and I finally found a worm crawling around in it. I suppose that is a earth worm breaking down the shit isn't it?
Update: I'm gonna be transplanting the delahaze and biddy early this weekend. They have picked up the pace growing so I want to get them in their final homes. I know they will do so much better in those big holes. The biddys and dela's are in the blue basket. The church, jackey, serious 6, critical SSH and sweet purple in the white. Most of the new seeds I started are sitting in the black buggy. They won't go out till after the 10th of May.
I love it man. How old are they now exactly? They had a bit of a slow start, but they're picking up nicely now.
the ones in the blue and white basket was germed on March 20 or 21. Yea bro I about gave a lot of them to much love lol things will start to speed up now for sure though. I got my organic plot all ready to go. I'll throw some pics up in a bit of that plot. Thanks for dropping in brother
I went and finished up the organic plot. Delahaze, critical super silver haze, jacky white and blue berry headband will be the ones in the organic plot. Here is a few pics of the before and after pics of their final spot
Its on like donkey kong! I transplanted 3 to their final homes today. Delahaze, biddy early and serious 6. Hoping for a mold free season this year. I mixed 3 cups of perlite in each hole as well. As I was digging I found earthworms in the holes. I had pre amended these holes with lime, horse shit, kelp, neem & Karanja meals. I placed cages around them for protection from the forest animals. I'll set out 3-4 everyday now until I get them all out.
I set 3 more lady's out today. 2 delahaze and 1 church. I have been using this plot for years and I feel like it's pretty secure hence why I put 3 monster producers in it. I added some perlite in this old soil mix. I also layered about top 5-6 inches with ocean forest so they will have some extra goodies to eat while they grow a bit more before I start to feed them. I will put 3 more out tomorrow and then do the rest after May 10th.
