So the other day I made cannabis oil for the first time for a friend. I used a recipe that I found on this site. Here is the link to that thread

So as far as I know I followed it exactly. I took 1 gram and broke it up into the closest I could get it to powder without a grinder. I put it in the oven for about 35-40 mins at 350 degrees. I put a good amount of oil, at least enough to cover all the weed. put it in a medium sauce pan and covered it with tin foil. I did take it out after 5mins to add just add a little more oil.

Does it sound like I did it right? My friend just took some about a hour ago. they took a medicine dropper and filled it 2/3rds of the way full. Its been a hour and they say they feel relaxed. Do they need more? and how much? I don't want them to take to much and be wrecked for 15 hours.

  2. Also we didnt refrigerate it....Is that ok?

  3. Sorry almost forgot! I used canola oil. Any help/advice would be most appreciated. Thank you !

  4. Too high of temperature for too long, probably cooked off all the THC. And it says single serving for a reason, 1 gram of marijuana wont get you "wrecked" for 15 hours unless your a toothpick and have no tolerance.

  5. Idk like i said I followed the recipe exactly. The temp says 350 for 30 mins. I ate just a little of the oil that I spilled on the counter with some bread. It wasn't allot but I felt kinda stoned after a hour or so, not baked but kinda high.

  6. Yea it takes .5g of good bud to get effects normally, also if you ate food before you eat the oil it will have less effects because all the food in your stomach dilutes it. Try the recipe at night and put it in the fridge overnight before you strain out the bud. Then eat it with something light in the morning and don't smoke. That's how i do all recipes at first so I get the full effect.

  7. Hey Grass_man....I guess you could call what you made a "cannabis oil" but I wouldn't call it RSO or what we call "the good stuff" used to treat major illnesses. You essentially made a cannabis butter like product, but used oil instead of butter. And you "decarbed" too long at too high a temp. A gram of bud isn't really enough material for much other than a good smoke. There's roughly 4 gms of RSO oil in an ounce. You have 1/28th of that. A good way to convert a small amount, maybe 3 or 4 gms of bud, into a usable product w a kick is as a GD, a Golden Dragon Tincture. Check out Psychedelic Sam's Another Tincture thread.
