Any musicians?

  1. Any musicians on here? If so what do you play? How long have you been playing? Are you better or worse at your instrument when your high? I myself play guitar, piano, and ukulele. Been playing piano for 3 years, guitar for 2 years and ukulele for 2 years. I find I can just keep on playing and get lost in the music while I'm high.

  2. electric guitar for 9 years, drums for 8. though i don't own my own drumset, and i sold my guitar last year. i play sloppy when high, unless its a simple riff, or a riff i've mastered over time. when i'm really high i'll play something i'm familiar with then start deviating and make my own stuff. then just start dropping divebombs till i get bored and fall asleep lol

  3. Been playing bass for about 2 years and it's the best fucking thing to play while high. Like throwing some over the ear headphones on and plugging them into my amp and play straight into the headphones for premium sound quality. Nothing better than smoking a few bowls then throwing that low E down to D and play some tool/APC.

  4. I started learning guitar about 7 years ago but after 2 years I decided to switch to bass while juggling it with drums and I'll agree with Bob with bass being the greatest high. Once you get all your theory down having a few cones and jammimg out a huge improv bass session is the best I've ever felt, once you get in that zone there's no coming back. On top of that busting out some slap riffs brings a fresh vibe to your high, Aeroplane by RHCP being one of my favourites.
I've found that while improvising when I'm lifted though I make a lot more complex connections between notes, there's been many times where I've played something great just by feeling the music. I'd definitely say I'm more intricate with my paying when high

  5. I've been singing for 6 years, guitar for about 3, but I now play piano, guitar, bass, drums, and sing. Here's a song I threw together today, let me know what you think. No editing on any of the parts, it's a rough track.

  6. Been playing guitar and bass guitar for thirteen years. I played them in a few small time bands as a teenager. Never got paid in much besides booze and drugs, but it was a fun time [IMG] I picked up mandolin about four years ago, it's an underrated instrument IMO, and very fun to play! The smaller frets definitely took some getting used to, but I don't have huge hands, so that probably helped. The guitar is an amazing instrument, but I must say, I really love playing the mandolin! I got a banjo a year or so ago, I love the sound. It's a bigger jump from guitar than I guessed it would be, but I've made some progress. At least playing Scruggs-style, I still can't clawhammer worth a shit. I have a harmonica, but I pretty much suck at playing it [IMG]

I played drums and trombone each for a little while, but it's been several years. I'd love to learn cello or violin, but bowing well is tough. As far as playing high, I'd say I'm about the same as I am sober. Unless I'm really baked, then I can't play very fast. But even then, it's still fun as fuck [IMG]
