Should we still use the search function? I've noticed that when someone brings back a cool thread, he gets a necromancy card and the thread gets locked. Just curious because I've seen lots of cool old threads lately but they get locked. Then I can't join Sorry if there's already a thread on this.
I generally only lock them, or comment if the OP has asked for advice or something, then hasn't been around, so people are answering someone who won't see the answer... Personally, I have no problem with people bumping old threads...in fact, I actually like it...if they have something to contribute, and the subject matter of the thread is still relevant... When people bump an old thread just to add "LOL" or some smart-ass remark, it is kinda pointless IMO though...
I don't mean to blame anyone. I've just noticed threads getting locked because they're old, or if the op isn't around anymore. Which kinda sucks, 'cause threads can be revived and get more funny comments.
i mean ya a thread can some times be revived but like probably 80% of the time it's just some one who didn't notice the post date and are posting something dumb and worthless by all means though if you have something to contribute to an old thread and the thread has value post in it
We identified a weirdness today and applied a patch to live forum. Search should be back to it's normal state.
