All of my clothes smelled like weed when I took them out of the washer, could it be that I left some weed in pockets ?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by HeyHeyMama, Mar 27, 2015.

  1. My mom confronted me saying that all of the clothes that came out of the washer smelled like weed, I haven't smoked since friday and before that at least one week. Strangest thing is that I never leave weed in my pockets, I always keep it in a sealed box. Is it just the weed smoke that sticks to the clothes or something ?

  2. Welcome.

    Weed smells.

  3. Yes smoke sticks to clothes (mind blown). But after being washed? Idk she might be bluffing.

  5. I smelled the clothes and they sort of smell like weed but it could be some sort of weird combination of my deodorant or something, this just baffles me, the only clothes in the wash were my gym clothes, socks, boxers and a few t-shirts, no trousers or jeans.  So no weed could have been left in the pockets.

  6. Oh oh child way you shake that thing gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting !

Had this song in my head when I made the account.

  7. Those don't even sound like clothes that would smell like weed, unless you smoke all day in gym class or sit around in your underwear smoking it up. Also, the soak in the water should've killed the weed smell. It sounds like one of two things:

    1. Your mom can't do laundry worth shit if your clothes smell after being washed.
    2. Your mom was totally bluffing you to see what you'd do.

Either way, you can't trust her anymore. I'd suggest getting a new mom.

  8. Those clothes shouldn't smell I think your mom is suspicious about you and is bluffing to see what you'd say.

  9. lololol you smoke weed you can't smell the weed on yourself or your cloths... or your mom could be bluffing

  10. you didnt add detergent to the wash load?

  11. your mom washes your clothes?

  12. I live at home, I am a full time student and I also have a part time job, so yes my mother does my laundry.

I am now wearing one of the t-shirts that came out of the washing machine, they don't reek of weed but you definitely smell it if you put your nose up to the shirt, all of the clothes that came out of the machine have this smell so my mom is not bluffing, and I haven't admitted anything so far.

Has this happened to anyone here ?

  13. You got played by your Mom. Either that or she knows that you smoke and because of Attentional Bias she thinks that all of your stuff smells like weed. If clothes smell like weed after you wash them their is either a problem with your washing machine or your mom isn't washing them correctly.

I can tell you this, if you have a front load washer and she shuts the door when not in use the rubber gasket gets nasty and it smells bad after a while.  Left unchecked it eventually works its way into the machine where all the clothes start getting a funk to them.  Perhaps worse yet, is after a while your clothes start to stink anytime they get damp, like when you sweat it reactivates the mildew or something.  If you are getting a hint of an unknown smell on your clothes this has got to be it.  The smell you get from this problem can smell "Skunky" and can very well be mistaken as possibly a weed smell.

    Easy easy fix to this:

1/2 a cup of vinegar and warm water in a mixing bowl and use a rag on the gasket to clean it.  Go all around it and in the gap, it's probably slimy and gross, but it has to be done then dump the solution in the machine.  Immediately run one cycle empty with vinegar and the hottest water you have (Heating cycle if you have that option)  I put in an entire quart of the cheapest vinegar you can buy.  Rewipe the gasket with clean water to remove any vinegar since it is basically a weak acid.  Use vinegar because it is a slight acid and counteracts detergent used inside the machine which is alkaline.  Not only will it kill the mildew it causes whatever this buggers are hanging on to to release from the inside and get washed away.

BTW, if you have a front load washer you (or in this case your mom lol) should always leave the door open when not in use.  For that matter you should leave a top loader open too.  If you do have a top loader feel around at the top for the gasket, if it stinks and is slimy just wipe that down and leave the top open, should fix the problem.

I am betting dimes to donuts this is what is happening and yeah, your mom probably knows you are smoking but life goes on.  But if you have this real problem and don't fix it then it will ruin all your clothes in your household.

  15. Here's the thing about it all.

Let's just pretend for one second, and I do mean pretend, that your clothes came out of the wash smelling like weed. That would mean that they REALLY stunk like the skunk going in to the wash, because the wash would've killed most of the smell.  So why isn't this "mom" character saying that the clothes smelled like weed when she put them in the wash?  Because they didn't.

  16. Easy escape. "How do you know what weed smells like, ma!?"

  17.  Nice plan Dude. I see u have some experience in this kind of situation's )
