Veteren Vapors: Which of these do you recommend?

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by Jesse Botwin, Mar 27, 2015.

  1. I'm looking for the best high qualitity vaporizer portable that I can actually afford. I've narrowed it down to three choices:

1.) Arizer Solo - Attaches to bong easily but isnt discreet

2.) Indica - Discreet and cheap, but has a few minor issues?

3.) Da Vincini Ascent - Total glass heating route, but pricey

Which vaporizers have you used, and recommend? Any pros and cons on any of the above vapes? I think Im leaning towards the Indica, but is the Arizer better? I don't plan on carrying my vaporizer, but I would like to be able to hide it when I do. All answers/recommendations are much apprecated. Please don't recommend the mflb (I dont care too much for the wooden design, or external battery.

    Arizer Solo

    Edit: Buy from www.puffitup.com

  3. I've had the Solo and Ascent, they sit on a shelf at home. Very dusty. I use my MFLB everyday. Why have you limited your search to 3 vapes that are all quite different? If you were going to spend 200 on the Indica or Ascent, why not just buy the Air? It has a similar design to the solo, but is far smaller. If that is what you have set your options to, I guess the solo, even though the Air is cheaper than the Solo right now on puffitup.

  4. Get the solo. If u want something a big smaller then get the air. I personally think these are better than the ascent and indica

My search isn't limited, I just picked these three because I've done some research on them. If there's something better, by all means let me know. I just don't care for how the battery constantly needs to be removed. It just means more pieces to worry about, and I'd prefer just to have one unit with a button (or a switch, if they have one like that)

Edit: I know a local vapor seller (runs an ecig and herbal vape store downtown) that sells all they listed. He has the solo for $120, the Indica for $150, and the ascent for $195. If you recommend something that he carries, I'll surely look into it.
He also has the Arizer Extreme Q discounted for $140, is that any good? I understand its tabletop, but it looks sweet.

  6. The Extreme Q was one of my least favorite vapes. It gets the job done but there are a lot more that function better such as the lsv, underdog, and the plenty. Give me some more information on what you're looking for and I'll try to find something perfect for u.

I've done a lot of research on the Arizer Solo and the Arizer Air. And basically, these 2 are one of the best small, portable vapes out there. Though, they still compete very well with the FireFly, and a few others I can't name right now because I forgot.
I would get the Arizer Solo. But if your looking for a smaller one, get the Arizer Air. I'm getting that one over the MFLB, PAX, and Alfa by Goboof and another one I forgot.
Also, I recommend you check out Puffitup.com, I just ordered my Arizer Air from there.

How does the Indica compare to the Solo (or Air), as in terms of flavor, vapor qualitity, and concentration (better high)? Im really liking the Air, but I don't like the exposed glass. The removable battery also annoys me a little.

Edit: I didnt use the air yet, im just referring to the design

  9. A battery that can be changed shouldn't annoy you as it is a user oriented feature. It increases the longevity of the vape, by making it user serviceable. The air has less glass exposed than the solo.

  10. And I have seen a silicone cover that hides what little glass there is on the air stem over at fc

  11. I've used 7 vaporizers, owned 1: Arizer Solo
Honestly I love it. In highschool I could carry it in my sweatpants pocket & use it in the bathroom stall. In the movie theaters, I can take it out of my jacket pocket. It vapes incredible, has very good conservation of weed, EASY to load (I have tiny screens put it & I just inhale my grinded herb into the bowl & it stays).
Only cons: Glass pipes can break, but I bought mine w/ 2 cause obviously 1 was bound to break.
Can start to build up a yellowish tinge in the glass pipe, but cleaning with 99% iso makes them clean.
& lastly, (only an issue with fools) is that others can easily disrupt the stasis of the bowl by fiddling or pulling the glass pipe out.

Though ever since I purchased it, I honestly can't think of a better purchase I've ever made. Really. Other than a lb of weed on 4/20 for $420. But a close second :)
